So I'm working tonight and my DH decided to drive the hour with our 6 kids to meet me for dinner at his favorite pizza place, and the waitress come up and says "I have to ask... Are they all yours?" Part of me really wanted to say no I went out and borrowed as many kids as I could on Father's Day and take them to a restaurant!

#2 It's a Boy! EDD 3/23/14
Yea thanks. It's been 10 weeks, it could be worse.
Yes. This was said to me by a neighbor when I told her the father wasn't around
On my first day back to work my co-workers threw me a shower since they were too scared to before LO arrived since my loss (however asking me would have been nice, I thought they just failed to want to do anything, anyways) so my desk was decorated. This annoying woman from another department came by and was like oh a baby shower, must be soon huh?
I wasn't sure what she meant, so then she asked boy or girl and I said girl (nevermind the pink banners and balloons) and she said for sure? I was like uh yeah....I'm thinking hell, if I don't know what sex my child is by now I need to not be a mother. Then I realized she thought I was still pregnant, which in her defense, most showers are thrown before the baby arrives. This would have been understandable for her to think that.....had she not met my LO a few weeks prior when I brought her in to visit.

When she was 3 weeks old, a man come up, and was talking. He asked her what her name was, and then tried to call her by it a few times. He then says "does she not know her name yet?" Ha!
And, one of the ladies handing out samples at Kroger asked me if I was sure LO like being in the moby, and said it looked weird.
The other day a little boy asked me if he could pet her. I said he could look at her. He asked me if she was sleeping, but her eyes were wide open.
A guy helping DH at a hockey store asked me if I had an "epidermal" and that "medicine that makes labor intense." He knew alllll about it, since his sister just had a baby.
I remember people asking this same thing when DS was an infant too. I just don't get it.

I think this was more of a stupid Sh*t People Do.
Evelyn - 3/15/14
When I had DD (almost 13 years ago) restaurants offered high chairs, but they never flipped them upside down.
(And obviously it was only places that had the squarish wooden chairs)
The infant buckets used to SNAP onto shopping carts. Now carts are different, so they don't snap on.
(Maybe they changed the carts or the seats on purpose for safety reasons?)
I've been to ONE restaurant locally that had a 'sling' for bucket carriers. It actually reminded me of a wooden highchair without a seat.
Other places I've had to put the bucket on the table, booth seat or on a chair/floor.
And I choose a two-tiered cart whenever possible which holds a bucket seat sideways.
...
I don't like LO (or DS1) being called a 'half', because technically ... DH, myself and the two kids would be 2 plus 2 halves = 3. But I need space for 4 people.
Also, an infant in a carrier does NOT take up less space. Granted, they don't use table space, but they need floor space, and I'd say the carrier takes up more space than I do.
