Yesterday was my last day of work and my boss came in around 3pm and asked if I was actually working. My face turned bright red and I think I tried to mutter some excuse but the truth was that, no I hadn't done any work. DH just laughed as my boss walked out looking disappointed. Oh well! Yay for not working today!
Ladies i need some prayers- my great aunt passed away this morning and im surprisingly upset about it. We were never super close, but i know my dad and uncle were, so i guess my heart is hurting for them. So just some healing thoughts for my family, please
For csection mommas, how long are you waiting to wear LO? DH and I went on a walk yesterday with DH baby wearing in our ergo. He said it put a lot of pressure on his hips. This makes me nervous to try to wear him. Any helpful hints?
I haven't been able to wear mine yet, too little Who is our baby wearing guru? @ncbelle?

I ended up in triage at L&D in the middle of the night. I was having 1 min contractions every 4-5 mins for over an hour and then every 3-4 minutes for an hour. They were increasing in intensity, but weren't unbearable yet, but the consulting nurse told me I needed to go in. Well, once I was there, I was only 1 cm dilated, 75% effaced and he was at -2 station. The nurse was surprised with the contractions I was having that I wasn't more dilated. It was very discouraging. I was sent home and after several hours, they started to taper off. Now they are back to irregular and only uncomfortable. This whole early labor thing is confusing!
@MrsBHM I wore him and we went for fro yo and a little walk at 4 days. At 6 days I wore him and went to lunch. The walls were closing in staying in our apartment and it felt great to get out.

I've worn him several times in the first week (in the baby ktan) and didn't have a problem.
@Tdonatoni I wore DS in the baby K'tan yesterday at 7 days pp. Felt totally fine.
Which reminds me - @ncbelle I feel like DS's legs are really scrunched in a frog position in the ktan's kangaroo carry. Is that how they are supposed to be? Do you know of a diagram of how he should look inside the carrier?
Another question for c section mamas. How long until you felt somewhat normal? I'm ready to be able to get up and down on my own. It's been a little over 48 hours since surgery. We walked the floor earlier and that felt great but now I'm back in bed and in pain.

I felt great and way overdid it (going for walks, tidying up, etc). I thought I was taking it easy but I strained an internal stitch that really hurts now. Be super mellow for at least a week. Like stay on the couch mellow.
My baby is super colicky on top of reflux. My Dr suggested to eliminate dairy out of my diet for the next two weeks and see if that helps and to also let him try and cry a little bit... Going on four minutes now and I just wanna go pick him up.

All of this! I felt fine when I got home, overdid it and pulled an internal stitch and ended up staying home all of week 2 to recover! Even if you feel fine, you can't trust your body right now. You'll still be on a post baby adrenaline high and it's misleading

@katekat8721@elsa1688 how do you know you pulled an internal stitch? What does that feel like? Because I am having this super sharp stabbing pain when I bend over or stand up... sound like how you felt? Cuz I know I've definitely been over doing it
@CJnKR2014 I would describe it exactly like that - a sharp almost searing pain on one side or one general area. I went in and saw my Dr about it today. He said to take pain medicine on a schedule and said Aleve might help more than ibuprofen but everyone is different. He said mostly just to take it easy and don't overdo it.
Fuck. X( and i dont have my Percocet. (I never picked up my prescription lol so ive been going medless O.O)
Girl, take care of yourself! You will be a better mom if you make sure you are healing correctly. At least take some ibuprofen- I'm on 600 mg every 6 hours
So I had my first cervix check yesterday around 3 pm yesterday and have been spotting since then. I figured some bleeding was normal but didn't expect it to continue for this long. Anyone else had this happen? Of course it's too late to call the office now.
Ditto to my twinsie @elsa1688 it's a burning sharp pain when I moved. I also had a lump under the area because it was inflamed where the internal stitches are.
@CJnKR2014 mama you gotta take good care of YOU too. If that means babies cry a bit while you eat, grab meds, lay down... it's ok.
So we gave our LO his first real bath. Had no clue what we were doing lol! He peed out of the tub on to the floor and DH and I were soaking wet at the end but LO seemed to actually enjoy it. I put waaaaaay too much water in the tub so DH had to hold his head up so the poor kid didn't drown. I need an instructional video or something. I'm not sure he was any cleaner when we got him out of the tub. Ha!
Ok, FTM question, is it normal to feel a contraction more on one side than the other? I've had left side front and back pain (nothing time able which sucks) but I didn't know if that was normal, every once in a while I feel it in my right side but definitely more my left.
Also totally AWing, DH and I have been together for 5 years today (our 2nd wedding anniversary is in August), I rarely count the "how long you've been dating" date but considering today is also my official due date (and LO is showing no crazy signs of showing up!) I thought it was kind of cute.
@kbellizio3 - I feel them more on my right side than left all the time. Dr. says, for me, it seems to be because of the way the baby is positioned (always on my right). He didn't seem too concerned and all the regular rules applied, as far as timetable, pain level, etc.
I had so many things that I wanted to do today but the lack of sleep from the week and the fact that DH is a child and can't do anything for himself, I didn't get to sleep as long as I wished. So now I can't muster the energy to get off the couch. Why can't a 26 year old man pick his own clothes!
I don't want to get my hopes up but I've been having contractions since 2:00 getting closer, longer, and stronger. Fx this continues and I get to hold my little squish soon!
I posted about it in the stabby Saturday thread, but now I'm really freaking out. I have no one to watch Buddy when I go to the hospital, like, this week. I have no idea what to do and I feel like I'm having a panic attack. This might be the thing that sends my stress level over the edge.
He's never gone to a kennel, can I get him in at the last minute? How will I even be able to drop him off if I'm in labor? How do You do this?
Also, why the fuck does my family turn everything into a fucking nightmare at the last minute? Everything, all the time?
I'm sorry, @lest12. My dogs were my first children too and I remember really worrying about them my first pregnancy. I had no one to watch them and they're small dogs that are spoiled and can't just be left. It ended up working out for me, and I really hope you find someone or somewhere to take Buddy. Hugs to you. As for a kennel, I'm sure you could get him in last minute if that's what has to happen. A good friend of mine works at a vet and they kennel dogs and cats when their owners need it and they always have room.
