We use Dr. Bronner's about once/week. The other nights (we usually bathe every other night) we do baking soda about 1/4 cup in our farm style sink. Our pedi recommends the baking soda to help with all kinds of skin issues, it's supposed to help prevent yeast also. It's working well for us. LO had some cradle cap at about 2-4 weeks old and we haven't had any issues since using the baking soda regularly.
I use aquaphor baby and have never had an issue. We only bathe him 2x per week but I wash his hands, face and neck daily. The pediatrician in the hospital said not to bath him too often or he could develop skin issues. I'm going to ask my dr this week if I should be bathing him more often...
I bathe my little every night. I like to keep a routine and it's his favorite time of the day. I use babyganics and it's great! He got some flakey skin a couple months ago and I used a really soft brush on his head every day in the tub and it helped clear it off. I also agree that it's not the soap that causes the CC, just what you do to treat it if it appears.
We bathe nightly for routine & baby loves it. Only wash hair every other night. We use aquaphor baby wash. He had a tiny bit of cradle cap, or similar at around 2 months before I switched to aquaphor wash. I also put aquaphor ointment on the spot nightly for about 3 nights, let it sit, then washed it off (it was in his hair)... It disappeared! I swear that stuff is a miracle worker.
Eli had very mild cradle cap, so I started bathing him every night and it cleared up almost instantly. I use California baby! Love it! Especially the over tired and cranky bubble bath.

we used the natural Johnson and Johnson brand and have never had issues, like others we bathe every night for routine, but don't use much soap. Although I do have to wash her hair (she has a lot) because it gets spit up and milk in it...
We had an issue with cradle cap at about 4-6 weeks. My mom was over one day while I was bathing and took her little baby brush and brushed her hair/ scalp gently while it was wet. The cradle cap started to flake right off! Took a couple baths with brushing to be completely removed but we haven't had a problem since! I still use the brush at each bath! My LO seems to enjoy it!
I didn't have problems with Johnson&Johnson but I didn't like it. LO's hair would be greasy by the next afternoon. I just switched to avenoo baby and it's awesome.
That's funny, we are the opposite. Every time we use aveeno wash, LO gets dry patches on his face. I like johnson&johnson better.

I assume you are actually looking for something to get rid of it.
Or perhaps there is a buildup of soap on your LO's scalp?
I just make sure to rinse any soap off LO's head really well, and comb his hair when his bath is done. He has a few flakes, but nothing terrible.
