Its my birthday and I have zero desire to be concerned about counting calories. I want to eat ALL THE THINGS!!!!!!! but I will probably behave. Mostly. I think.

TGIF!!! So glad it is finally Friday! I am so done with working. I already took off a day next week so I only have to work 4 of them. I just need a mental reset from work I think, so I plan on sitting on my butt and watching mindless TV on my day off next week. I still haven't gotten my H anything for Father's day and I am running out of time!
Finally got to my doctor's office to get my labs done. I called a month ago to see if I needed bloodwork to check my thyroid and they said to come in. A month later, I finally got to it. Then we went to the gym to log another 5 mile run/some walk!
I spend a couple hours a week in the lobby of a counseling office while my nieces have their appts. I bring snacks and books and such to keep A busy but let's face it - she's 20m old and doesn't like to sit still. I stress every week about her disturbing everyone. The receptionist just told me that "she is just such a joy to have in the office!" Kind of made my whole day.

there was a really big hawk at the park today, I texted a picture to DH and told him that it would be really awesome if the hawk came down and swooped up DD.
I just finished my anti-biotic for my sinus infection last night and today I am not feeling well again. I hope there is not something else wrong. I just want to feel normal again! I have a call into my doctor to see what she says.
Sorry to those of you having a tough day. Random thought... couldn't they invent some kind of car alarm that would go off if you lock baby inside? I don't think it's too crazy with everything they can do nowadays. Another poor baby in the news. My heart breaks!!
I wore white pants today. Trying to be all cute and summery. I have no business even owning white pants. So far they have a coffee stain, tomato, grass , and pink soap stains. I look awesome.

I think you should patent this, it's a genius idea. Like a motion sensor of some sort. You could save lives @BabyCarryingVessel
I have worn a bra like 10 times since my daughter was born April 5th. I have no business going braless with these "slocks" (lock in a sock) but I stay in most of the time and my 20 month and 2 month old don't care about my floppy boobs.
I have yet to wear a real bra. Nursing tanks, camis, and soft little bra- let thingies are where it's at.
Actually they have them! Look it up. I thought you were about to be a billionaire BCV
haha! My brother worked for a popular vehicle manufacturer and he's a genius about automotive everythings! I asked him why manufacturers haven't tackled this and he says they don't want to touch it for liability reasons. I guess that makes sense!
Both Husband and Girl are napping. The kitchen is clean, and the living room...well it'll keep for a bit. I'm rotting my brain with Catfish: The TV Show.

One of my FB friends just posted (and I quote) "last time i checked we r in america so SPEAK ENGLISH!!!!"
Tell me someone else sees the irony here. Please?
One of my FB friends just posted how she was enjoying the start of her 3-day weekend by being home alone while the kids are at daycare and it is glorious! To which her daycare provider commented underneath saying that she didn't know she was off and is she picking up her kids early so that she could also enjoy a longer weekend.

My question is, as long as DC is getting paid, who cares if you're relaxing at home or working?? Maybe dcp was joking.
We won't be invited back to the neighborhood smorgasbord. The kids were perfect angels. Husband spilled a full glass of tea, then *I* spilled a full glass of tea five minutes later. And what's that around Julie's waist? It's a pair of mommy's underwear!! I died!!
eta: that child loves to get clean underwear out of the basket and put it on!
I feel your pain @LuckySquare. After a couple pleasant days DS was back to his crabby disposition today. Complaining every time I went to the bathroom. When I made him lunch. During lunch. To top it off he skipped his nap today. He fell asleep when he nursed at bedtime. I can't remember the last time that happened. It kind of made me nostalgic.

ETA: DD did not get swooped.
There's a bald eagle that lives in my neighborhood. It's pretty awesome to see him/her cruising around, though it makes me keep a closer watch on DS playing in the back yard.
Does anyone remember seeing a video a year or two ago of a toddler being picked up by a hawk(?) at a park or playground? I think it turned out to be a hoax. It was pretty nuts.
Never seen a toddler get picked up, but it is not uncommon for tiny dogs to get picked up by eagles here. Not in town, but some of the more remote places.

Just makes me all the more confident in my choice to have my cat be an indoor kitty.
@wanderingstars23, that's crazy! People are so touchy over stuff like that. Local news only? Hopefully it doesn't go national and no one loses their job!
Just got back from touch a truck with the kids. The kids loved sitting inside the construction vehicles and ds2 flipped out over the police motorcycle.
Hey I just met you, and you're my baby. This is your family, we're kind of crazy...

Did anyone not immediately think of The Proposal movie when they saw this? Remember when Sandra Bullock's character runs after the dog that gets picked up? Haha.
Re: Friday Randoms
We were supposed to go to sesame place today, but the weather sucks. So I took off Monday too

That is disgusting! I can't believe that the woman thought that was ok to even do. I also would have given her a earful as well!.
