IUI#4- new plan

Hello all,

Tomorrow I will be having iui #4 (1st one with new RE). This was an all inject cycle- low and slow- and it seems that I have produced two nice follies (one is def ready and the other is catching up).

RE wants me to trigger early evening (with novarel 5k iu) and come in for iui in the morning. Then, they are suggesting another iui the following morning.

What are your thoughts? Everything about this iui process is new to me as my old RE did things differently. I really hope this one works. Thank you for your help!

    I can't offer you a personal success story (yet) but that is the exact timing my RE uses...trigger at night, one IUI in the morning and another 24 hours after that.  The approach (I guess) is to have sperm waiting for the egg, and to deposit some immediately after ovulation as well.  It makes sense to me since you ovulate 24 hours after the trigger, it is like a bookend approach! My hubby's count has been lower overall the second day, but his motility % increases from day 1 to day 2.  On the follie front, looks like your RE was going quality over quantity and I really hope that works for you!  I am on my second IUI with less follies this time so I am hoping that's the case for me as well!!     On BC till end of 2009.  2010 NTNP.   

    New Year’s Eve 2010—BFP?! January 13, 2011—early loss, HCG peaked at 324, no D&C needed.

    Feb 2011-Nov 2012—NTNP 

    Dec 2012 --present (TTC 20 months) Not even a hint of a BFP

    Me:  BW, U/S, HSG, HSN normal.  AMH 2.33.  Hubs: SA normal

    April 2014--IUI #1 Clomid 100 4-8 Follistim 150 9-14, 5 mature follies at trigger, Peak E2 5/5 1100, BFN 

    May 2014 ---IUI#2 Clomid 100 3-7 Follistim 150 8-13, 3 mature follies at trigger, Peak E2 6/6 547, BFN

    June 2014--IUI#3 Follistim 150/225 3-15, 3-5 mature follies at trigger, Peak E2 7/11 1450, BFN

    July 2014--IUI#4 Follistim 225 2-12, 3 mature follies at trigger, Peak E2 8/12 841, BFN

    Breaking till after Christmas, then IVF...taking 4000 mgs daily Inositol and Melatonin 3mg

    No experience with injects or b2b IUIs, but I just want to say that sounds like a great, thorough plan! Good luck. :)

    Can't hurt to try! My RE mentioned a plan kinda similar to the b2b IUIs. Didn't mentioned what time of day to do injections tho. GL!
    Me: 26 (IC/PCOS-2000mg of Metformin daily)

    June 2014- HSG=clear

    DH: 27 (SA results were great minus the slightly low morphology)
    Started dating DH in 2002 at 14 years old
    Married on 03.01.2014
    Officially TTC since April 2014 
    January 2013- Surprise BFP, m/c at 6 weeks, D&C 2 Weeks later
    April 2014- First RE appointment
    July 2014- IUI#1-Canx due to scar tissue and polyps. TI with the help of Ovidrel. BFN

    August 2014- Hysteroscopy to remove scar tissue and polyp

    September 2014- IUI #1.1-100mg Clomid, Ovideral, 11.5 million swimmers=BFP

    EDD-6/3/15- Our sweet baby Ryan was born on 1/6/15 and is in the arms of an Angel

    Dx with IC on 1/6/15

    DX: MFI (low count and motility)
    Charting/OPK/CBFM July 2013-present
    1st RE Visit: January 2014
    Cycling: 
    March 2014- 75iu follistim + trigger + progesterone + IUI = BFN and OHSS
    (8 million post wash 47% motility, 18mm/17mm/16mm/16mm/14mm follies)
    April/May 2014- Benched due to cysts/enlarged ovaries
    June 2014- 50iu follistim + trigger + progesterone + IUI = BFP!!
    (10 million post wash 60% motility, 20mm/19mm follies)
    Beta 1- 85 Beta 2- 2,752 - EDD 2/27/2015

    TTC since March 2014, but was NTNP since 2007.
    Found out in May I have 2 blocked tubes.
    Waiting too see my doctor again to decide next steps.

    IVF #1- November- Antagonist protocol: 11/1: start stims, 200iu of Follistim; 11/12 ER 17R/14M/14F; 11/17 5 day transfer of two blasts, 2 blasts and 2 expanding morulas frozen; 11/22 BFP!! (On FRER at 5dp5dt)
    Betas: 9dp5dt 205, 11dp5dt 497, 14dp5dt 1,709
    u/s at 5w0d- 1 sac; u/s at 6w0d 1 baby with heartbeat, another sac without a heartbeat

    We are doing TI this cycle; I triggered in the afternoon (2:00pm) then was told to have intercourse the next night (it was about 30 hours later), and the following night. I was a little concerned the first intercourse was too late- your timing sounds perfect!
