I'm in labor and delivery, friends! UPDATE WITH PICS!

11:37am NYC time and I'm at about a 6. I went from having ZERO labor symptoms and LO wasn't dropped - not even a single braxton hicks, ever - to around 12:45am I started contractions (all in my lower back only, holy mother of...) lost my mucus plug AND my water broke in under 2 hours. Well, okay then.

**UPDATE June 16th (my original due date!)**

Livia Harlowe was born at 9:44pm on Wednesday, June 11th, 7.3 lbs and 20 inches long with a full head of dark hair. (Were the folks who said my heartburn was because of hair right?!) Birth story to follow, (Just an FYI, the epi slowed things down quite a bit but I still progressed well, did need some pitocin that they started on the lowest dose somewhere along the way to get me past the 7 dilation point). We came home from the hospital Friday afternoon. She is doing great despite meconium present when my water broke. She really hung in all day like a champ. Side note: Lot's of pros and cons about the hospital but my Nurse was so amazing. I miss her. I really feel like DH and I could not have done it without her and she shaped my entire experience.

This new Mom stuff is hard, right? I'm dealing with the baby blues made worse because of exhaustion (the other night she did not sleep at all, only wanted to feed, pick up, put down, pick right back up again...) and WOW breastfeeding hurts even though everyone insured her latch was good at the hospital. Right nipple has a big dark blister. Left was worse but seems to be improving. EBF is the challenge you all promised it would be...
