Listened to Parker yesterday using this video as a guide, and he only woke up twice last night! Plus my husband got up with him both times, so I got a whole nights sleep!
Thank you for sharing this! We haven't had complete success but it's reduced the freak outs by a bit tonight! Both girls are sleeping right now. This is a Christmas miracle people!
Thank you!! I screen shotted the pic of the sounds and what they want so it is easy to flip through on my phone until I can get them all memorized! Can't wait to try it out!!
Just a heads up, the info in the video is exactly the same as the app. The app just let's you listen to the sounds over and over and has a little quiz where you can guess which sounds are which. Pretty pricey at $8. I only downloaded it because I couldn't watch the video at work (and I have the patience of a hyena)
I watched this last night with DH. At about 3 am, Norah woke up even though she had just eaten an hour before. I immediately could tell she was saying "Eh." I picked her up and burped her and she fell right back to sleep. I hope it keeps working!!
DH listened to one of the twins and heard "eh"- he picked up the baby, didnt even have to burp him only had to pat his back a couple times, and he laid right back down to sleep!! Though I will say "heh" is kinda hard to figure ojt ahat they want, as discomfort is such a general term... i mean if its not their diaper it could be so many other things.
I had bookmarked this but never watched it until today. This is awesome! I'm so excited to see if I can figure out DD's cries and make life easier. Thanks for bumping!
I agree! In particular "neh" "eh" and "o" are pretty clear with DS
Snuff: we hear it in the "pre cry" right before DS actually cries. The cries themselves all sound the same, but if you can catch it early you might hear the distinct sound. I find it helpful to watch his mouth to look for the reflexes they describe in the video too.
I found and screen shot this a few weeks ago after watching the video but now can't remember if it lined up perfectly with what the video said. Anyway hope this helps some that want a quick guide
I watched this a few weeks ago and it was so helpful! My LO constantly tells me he needs to burp and he has gas-- other than that, I can't really hear the others!!
Re: Secret language of babies: it works!

Fascinating stuff for sure!

(Easily amused when sleep deprived... tee hee)
