In Complete Limbo (A non-Intro Intro)

Hi Ladies - I'm Megan, and I'm in total limbo at the moment. I needed to get some thoughts out somewhere (and maybe some advice) and thought it would be best to post this here vs. TTCAL.
Background - I am 34, DH 36. We have been TTC for 4.5 years. My first BFP ended in a loss in October 2013 at 6/7 weeks. My second loss, when I was here briefly, was in March and was a chemical pregnancy.
Current situation --- We tried Clomid this cycle (Days 8-12 of cycle which isn't normal, but it's what we did due to timing) and I got a BFP on Saturday at 12DPO. It was faint on an FRER. I got another faint BFP on Sunday, but yesterday there was no line. I promptly called my doc and he got me in yesterday morning. He did a test and it was negative too... So, he did an internal exam and ultrasound. Both showed no signs of bleeding and the ultrasound showed thickened lining consistent with pregnancy. Nothing else could be seen... He did a blood test and called last night... HCG was 7.7 which is quite low. He's recommending waiting until Monday to retest unless something comes up between now and then or I just feel like I can't stand it without another test and he will test again... My temp rose again and no signs of bleeding or anything. If this is a CP then doc will do karotyping and coagulation testing...
So, all that to say, I'm not sure where I am right now... other than in limbo. I wish I had answers and knew what my body was doing, but I don't. So, we wait... and in the meantime, I'd greatly appreciate hugs and thoughts and prayers if you are so inclined as well as any insight you all might have.
To all the amazing TTCAL ladies - I'm not sure what to say to you in a limbo post such as this... So, I'll say this ---- You all are such a blessing to my heart. So many of you have checked on me in the last few days and I can't tell you how much that means to me. You are the strongest group of women and have such a kind heart and are so helpful in how you work with all women to help them figure out the most from their cycles and history. I have learned so much from you, but mostly, I've gained friendships that I am so thankful for.

So many ((((hugs)))) and I'm so sorry you are in limbo. Did your monitoring appointment show if you had more than one mature follie? I hope your next test shows doubling betas and that you just have a slow starter.

Testing done: male with complete Trisomy 16, not hereditary. Tested me for clotting disorders, all normal.
Feb. 2014 all clear again to TTC! Will start progesterone supplementation with the next BFP just in case. Oct. 2014 more testing just because, thyroid and autoimmune panels = normal. Diagnostic U/S = no abnormalities. Will keep trying for 3-6 more months, doctor still optimistic!

BFP#1: 2/2/13 ~ exact m/c date unknown but around 3/20 at 10 weeks ~ diagnosed with PMP ~ D&C on 4/5 ~ TTA for at least 1 year due to PMP ~ cleared to TTC 1/14
BFP#2: 2/7/14 ~ m/c 2/20/14 ~ possibly due to chemical pregnancy ~ TG no D&C is needed
Surprise BFP#3: 4/4/14 ~ super duper extra happy (and nervous) about this one - EDD 12/9/14!!!
John Joseph was born on 12/12/14 at 7 lbs. 11 oz. He is the most beautiful rainbow baby we could have wished for!
