Yeah, it wasn't a very satisfying episode. I liked Sam and Gilly at least. And the giant wrecking hook thing along the ice wall was pretty bad ass.

DH was even like " is this whole episode the fight at the wall?" Kinda disappointing, but a very elaborate fight at that. That crazy wall hook thing was awesome. And ygritte

but she got what was coming I guess. The boy who killed her was the one who she let go to go to the wall after she killed his family. I hope jon snow doesn't die. Eye candy ftw.

Yeah, this episode felt like homework. We had to see what was going to happen at the wall, but it still was boring as shit. At least we got it out of the way.

1. Thank god Jon snow is as pretty as he is.
2. I liked the scene with ygritte (didn't know her name until this thread). I had no idea Jon actually loved her until that moment.
3. Sam is so stinking cute. And seriously....that baby has had more near death experiences in his short life.... Can we be done with the baby almost dying scenes? I can't take babies at risk.
4. Where the F did that woolly mammoth come from?

Well, it seems like Jon SHOULD die, walking out into an army of wildlings by himself...but then you basically lose the Castle Black plotline. Unless everyone (wildlings and white walkers) comes through the wall into the north and it's a non issue. Maybe that's why Ramsey and Bolton are still a storyline...? They fucking bore me to tears.

I'm expecting Jon to have his front teeth missing after the face full of metal the cannibal landed him. I thought he was a for sure goner during the fight. Like even at one point kinda sighed and thought, "well there's the and of jon snow..."
Why did he not release the wolf sooner? And why did they not bring arrows to fight the giant at the gate?! They easily could've shot him when he was trying to lift the gate/running towards them

Did anyone notice how short the ep was? Like 50 minutes. Not that I wanted another 5-7 minutes of death blows but maybe more Ygritte since it was her last show. That was sad, I like how she was so conflicted. I was mad at the kid until I remembered it was justice for his parents. But then I was all "bad time to be vulnerable Jon Snow, get the fuck up before you get a sword in the face". Fucking stressful.

I was worried for Gilly in the locked room alone with that cowardly dude. But really every time I see her traveling with the baby I'm always wondering where her diaper/gear bag is! What if he poops, everyone dies and they are stuck in there without supplies, poor baby!

Maybe the episode was all fighting but it wasn't completely boring. There were lots of "ooh" and "eeesh" moments. I was a little surprised the Crows fared as well as they did. I always get so worried about Gilly and her baby...

WTF is Jon doing? No Longclaw, no Ghost? How is he going to surpass 100,000 wildlings / mammoths / giants / other things?? to get to Mance Rayder? Again, WTF JON SNOW? Noble or stupid? What is going to happen to you!!!??

Last thing: I was really hoping an army of white walkers were going to come out of the forest at any time during the hootin' and hollerin' of the wildling army.

I didn't mind the long fight scene. I really like the heroic speeches, for some reason. I liked all the brave speeches, especially the one at the gate when the giant was coming through.

I also liked Sam and Gilly together. Jon and Ygritte's final season made me teary. As sad as I was to see Ygritte die, I liked that it was done by that kid whose parent's were killed by the wildlings.

I'm getting to the point where it's hard to stay engaged. At first all the death was shocking and kept me on the edge of my seat. But's it's gotten to the point where I've stopped investing in characters; why bother if they're just going to be killed of in some new a gruesome manner? And since I'm not invested in the characters I don't much care about the plot. The Sansa and Arya plot lines are what's keeping me watching.

I am not a fan of fight scenes, so this episode bored me. I do love Sam and he reminds me of Neville Longbottom so I have a special place in my heart for him.

Is anyone else watching this on HBOgo? We have to watch it the next day because it keeps freezing every 1-2 minutes and it is driving me insane.

I actually didn't hate this episode. I feel like most of this season was boring scene/boring scene/something gross/boring scene. This episode actually felt more intense because of the one location, and you got pretty involved in each character on the wall. The giants were very cool. I was a fan.

I'm not into the all fight episodes either, but that one camera shot that pans the inner wall area was pretty sweet.

To be fair though, everyone has been killing everybody. Both wildlings and non-wildlings have been going at each for a long long time, both killing innocents on either side. Everyone needs to wake up and realize that the white walkers are going to come and slaughter everyone (<- not something that I read or anything, just where I think the show is headed).

To be perfectly honest, I didn't care that it ended early. You would think with non-stop action throughout the whole episode that it wouldn't be as boring, but nope, it most certainly was. I was glad when it ended and I could finally go to sleep.

I figured that this week would be this way, but next week will be so incredibly epic that I think it will make up for last week's episode. Death to all that deserve it
