No ultra sound today, but heard baby's heartbeat today for the first time. The dr warned me at 13 weeks we may not be able to hear it since baby is still tiny, but there it was as soon as she put it on my belly. A strong 158 bpm. Sadly, gained 10 lbs though! Seriously, 10 lbs wtf! All those carbs that curbed my appetite. Dr says I'm allowed to lose weight though, so I'm gonna hit up some fruits and veggies and my Zumba since my energy is back up.
I had my 11 week appointment today. Got to hear the heartbeat and I cried a bit, I mean I know I saw it at 7 weeks, but it's becoming more real now. Also my OB has said every time she sees my name, that she has to remember that I'm pregnant too, since we have gone thru so much together over 2 years to get to this point. I just can't wait til my 20 week appointment!
Happy to report that I had my NT scan this morning, and everything looks great! Baby is on target in terms of growth and the NT measurement was in the desired range. The tech was hilarious and super friendly, which made the experience that much more enjoyable. Got to see the little nugget move around a bit and saw the blood flow and the heart beating. It was also giving us a clear thumbs up! Now we wait for the bloodwork and I have my second OB appt on Thursday morning. Thrilled to have some measure of reassurance and I'm hoping everyone has a similarly positive outcome at their appointments this week!

Had my weekly MFM appt this am. U/s showed the monkeys playing around....A and B were facing each other and had their arms up in what appeared to be a boxers pose. Tech laughed and showed it to me and we both got a good laugh then she said "must both be boys"
I have one today which I am really nervous about. I will be meeting my German OB for the first time today which has me the most nervous, only because I loved my OB back in Nebraska so it will be hard adjustment as well as potential culture differences. I'm really hoping for an ultrasound since I haven't seen my tiny human since I was 8 weeks.
From Nebraska to Germany, the adventures of the Zwillinge.
I have one Friday. And will probably have one every two weeks or less until baby pops out bc my reg ob monitors once every 4 weeks and perinatologist will monitor once every 2 weeks but I'm not complaining. I like seeing the baby a lot.
Have my monthly OB appt on Thursday. I'm guessing it will just be a regular checkup, doppler, etc. BUT I am hoping that day she'll make the appt for an anatomy scan for some time soon!!
The NT scan.
My ob told me I could have it around 12 weeks or wait until 18-20
I chose to wait.
From what I understand (and I could be wrong) the NT Scan is date sensitive. You have to have it done between 11 weeks and 13 weeks 6 days. the anatomy scan is typically done at 20 weeks. If you were hoping to get the NT scan, you might want to talk to her about that today at your appointment.

Yea, I think I will. It was actually a nurse who suggested waiting so this will be the number one topic today! Glad you told me! Thanks!
I don't think it's considered an NT scan if you wait. At least my practice called it something else if I decided to wait until 18-20 weeks. But the NT scan is typically between the 11-13w6d mark, as PP stated.
Yes, the NT scan is completely different from the anatomy scan at 18/20wks. Just heard baby's heartbeat (163) and heading to different office for my NT scan. Eeeek.
First OB appointment yesterday after being released from the RE last week. So far so good, and saw my baby on the ultrasound again. Funny thing was his/her legs were spread wide open, too bad it's too early to tell the sex.
The nurse drawn 8 tubes of blood from me for testing and panorama test. So nervous for the results, it will take 5-7 days. FX.
I have an appointment on Thursday afternoon.... but I am really not sure what to expect. I was originally supposed to have my second appointment like two weeks ago, but I rescheduled the appointment because I couldn't make it out to the doctors (40 mi away because I just recently moved and haven't switched doctors yet) and because I got my blood test results back and everything was in good healthy ranges.
Anyways, since I had rescheduled it (I think OB originally scheduled to go over blood test results incase something was wrong), I am really not sure what to expect at this appointment AND I am really conflicted about it because part of me doesn't want to go through some of these experiences, such as the first time you hear the heartbeat, without my fiancé (but then again, hearing the heartbeat would let me know the baby is doing well!). He currently lives in Arizona while I live in Virginia... he is moving here end of this month.
@missmissie82 , @Slaps , @freakyfast we have ours the same day (thursday)... And of course cuz I was getting way to comfortable now I have some spotting so thursday cant come fast enough!!!
@leenieb123 I THINK when you wait past the 12-14 weeks mark its just called a biophysical at 18-20 weeks or an anatomy scan (even if not looking for the sex), depending on your hospitals preferred term. (my last one called it a bio but this one calls it an anatomy)
Had my 15week appt this morning. Everything looks good! Baby was hiding from Doppler so I got luck and got a (super quick) sono just to check hearbeat. Heartbeat 150 and got a quick peak at baby! Lost 5 lbs-but overweight to begin with so not a bad things as Long as I don't keep losing.
Did you and I have the same appointment today?
I'm 14 weeks, baby was hiding, got a quick sono for the HB, and I lost 1.5 pounds (plenty to begin with, so I'm fine losing for a bit and leveling off).
I have to get my free T4 and TSH checked every 4-6 weeks since my thyroid is trending toward hypothyroid, and darned it if the nurse didn't tell me 3 times not to forget my lab slip and I walked out and left it on the checkout counter. When she called I apologized profusely, but she was all good and chalked it up to preggo hormones. She's faxing it to the lab now.
I have my 12 week appointment on Friday and then my NT scan next Tuesday. I'm so excited and nervous! I'm waiting for the ultrasound to make my big announcement! Good luck everyone!
Congrats everyone and love and luck to those with upcoming appts. Had my nt scan yesterday, all looks perfect, waiting on bloods, then have my regular 12 week scan on Thursday.
I have my first ultra sound tomorrow!!! So excited to see my little angel. I didn't get to hear the heartbeat last appointment, so this is really exciting for me
Re: Who has appointments this week?

Am I the only one that opted to wait for the NT scan??
Now I'm feeling nervous that no one else is waiting
