DH is kind of a homebody on the weekends but I take her out at least once a week if not more. LO and I always go to lunch with friends on Fridays and some weekends I am able to get DH out and about.
I put every weekend, but I lied a little. We aren't exciting enough to go out every weekend. But if we go out, she comes with us. My parents and my MIL watch her during the week. We don't want to overwhelm them or take advantage by asking them to watch her on the weekends, too.
We go out a lot of places, but we don't go out at dinner time. He goes to sleep by 7, and I don't really dig eating dinner at 5, so we confine our activities to the daytime.
I always forget to answer my own poll! We take her out with us very weekend, sometimes both Friday and Saturday. We figure we need to now before she doesn't want to sit still anymore.
We take him with a lot of the time but not always. We don't really "go out" in the sense of out to eat and drink but he comes on errands and we like to go to the park.
We just got a kelty kid carrier so we will start hiking and camping with him as well.

All this. Ds still hasn't been to a restaurant and I'm afraid to try, but we are always going to target, grocery shopping etc. the outings for places like that are short and sweet.
We've done lunch before, and it's not been bad. Once he was kind of fussy, and we just took turns eating and entertaining him. The other times, he's been so enamored of looking around at #allthethings that he kept himself entertained.

If I'm not at work, I have one or both kids with me. I have an almost 5 yo and I need to keep her busy, plus she has activities. I think that's why second children tend to be more laid back. They get dragged everywhere and learn to go with the flow. I know my second is much easier going as a baby then my first was.
Everywhere, every day. Theres days we are gone from morning to bedtime and he naps in his car seat. Unless me and DH are looking to go on a date night he's with one of us. Restaurants, shopping, home depot, sometimes he even comes to work with me for a bit. Im still lucky in the sense that he will nap at his normal napping times in his car seat. It is the only thing that has stopped me from installing the convertible seat.
Sometimes DH and I will decide were gonna go out to dinner and plan it so its right at his bedtime this way he is asleep in the seat while we eat.
We shoot for all grocery shopping/errands without kids (one goes, one stays with kids, or my mom comes over for a few hours). We go out-out maybe once a week, but it's usually a kid-centric event so we take the kids with us.
We go out almost every weekend as a family and I take him out a lot during the week in my off days by myself. Evenings are getting hard, 8 o'clock hour is typically his "lose-my-shit o'clock" so it can be challenging if we are out past 8 PM or so. I find that going out is getting a little more challenging as he gets older and more curious but we still go out.
My girls LOVE going out to restaurants or shopping. Sometimes we go out twice a day on weekends especially if they are fussy at home. When I'm alone with them during the weekdays I always go out for a late afternoon outing with them too, to stave off the fussiness. They are so much happier when we're out and about in new places.
DH loves to take them out to eat. I think he secretly enjoys all the attention we get with twins. Now that they can sit in the high chairs it so easy. We usually bring bottles or baby food with us just in case and feed them little pieces of whatever we're having.
During the week I take her out almost every day either for walks, to meet up with friends or to run errands. On the weekends we usually alternate by having a busy weekend and then a quiet stay at home weekend the next. My DH has PTSD so if we have too many events and no down time he gets stressed out and overwhelmed.
We generally take her wherever we go. She's portable and pretty much always does well when we're out and about. As long as we have food she's good to go.
I voted every weekend but I take the kids on a big outing at least once a week (zoo, wildlife park, etc.) and on the weekends we will all go out. Sometimes out to eat, sometimes visiting family, which is a two hour drive. We do a lot out of the house with the kids. They are both generally well behaved, especially if I offer food when I see a tantrum developing in the two year old
Not to hijack this thread, but I finally figured out how to grocery shop with these girls! I can't push a shopping cart and the double stroller, so grocery shopping was a problem unless it was a quick trip in for something that didn't require a cart. I thought maybe I could put one girl in the seat and one in a carrier but my babies HATE all carriers, so that didn't work out either. But last week I clipped a bunch of reusable shopping bags onto the handle of the stroller with those big mommy clips and just shoved the food in the bags as I was shopping. I did almost accidentally steal a bottle of grape juice which I put in the bottom bin of the stroller, but other than that it worked out pretty well and they loved the grocery store. So bright and lots of colors. Haley blew raspberries at everyone who stopped to say hello.
Everywhere, all the time. Grocery shopping, restaurants (especially now that he can sit in a highchair!), the zoo, craft shows, the park...he reeeeally loved the cruise-in downtown and the local Earth Day celebration. He's a people watcher for sure!

I'm glad you found a solution! But be very careful clipping things on the stroller like that. Make sure you are always holding onto it because those clips holding things can make the stroller tip over very easily.
After almost 3 years of IF and a crazy roadside delivery, we are loving life with our second beautiful daughter!
I take him on errands with me where I can put him in the Ergo or stroller, but restaurants are typically a no-go. We've tried a few times, but he's just too.... high maintenance? He refuses to sleep unless he's in the car or in his crib, so it really limits us, because no nap = screaming baby. Le Sigh.
So jealous of all you who can enjoy going out with your LOs!

Yes, I noticed that. I put heavy things like milk and juice in the basket under the stroller and I brought a small backpack for other heavy things, just in case, but I didn't end up needing it. I would not ever attempt a really big shopping trip like this, it was just 2 bags that were mostly bread, cereal and some taco fixins, all pretty lightweight.

That's how I usually go shopping. I have a Thirty-One Medium Utility Tote that fits enough groceries for a few days that I hang off the handle and also a thermal tote. So easy! It took me a few grocery runs to figure it out
He goes with us pretty much everywhere, all the time. On the very few occasions we've been going out with friends to a bar and we were potentially going to be drinking, he's stayed with my mom or mil. That's a huge no-no for us (drinking when baby is with us).

Who says they can't nap in a convertible seat?
