  • WTF is wrong with you??? INSULTING BABIES! Its disgusting behaviour and you are NOT welcome here. We know your type. GET OUT! You are NOT WELCOME HERE!

Oh sorry, I'm just recreating the reaction to my first post on 0-6 months which happened to be exactly what you just posted.

You're a horrible horrible person. Alissa's headbow is in the mail.

  • Me too. They look awful on my son.

    J/K - I have a shiity sense of humor.

  • I disagree too ... but then, I'm a total girly girl.

    To each their own.

  • I actually really like them.  I do.  I admit it.  I'm a sucker for a big bow.  I am from Texas, though.  Maybe that explains it ; )
  • Disagree. I LOVE them and that is one of the perks of having a girl. Besides how else will I avoid those "is it a boy or a girl" questions?
  • I agree 100%.  If I ever have a girl all bows will be banned from the house until the child has enough hair to use them correctly.  There are some flower/bow things I see on infants heads that are as large as the poor childs head.
  • I like Madeleine's bow.
  • Oh and I agree. I just don't understand them. Especially the ones people have to stick on with spit or paste or spitpaste because their kid has no hair.
  • Aww, I like them!  But I have a feeling that I am destined to have all boys and will never be able to use them.

at least your DS has enough hair to wear a bow if you wanted.  bows on nearly bald babies are the worst.  it's always like "wtf is on their head??"

Lanie: lol.  if i'm insulting anyone, i'm insulting whoever bought the bow/dressed the baby.  i'll freely admit that.

  • I think that those crochet hats with big flowers on them are super cute, but I've just never gotten any for my girls. I don't know why, really. Maybe I'm just lazy! I did put headbands on them with little curly ribbons for their birthday, I thought they were cute! :) Other than that, sad to say, my girls don't have enough hair to wear bows!
  • I like them ONLY if the baby has enough hair to warrant a bow. I don't want to see a bow taped on a baby's head and I'm not a fan of the bow headband things, either.

  • Yep. I'm with you but for my hatred of headbows (especially the enormous ones that make your kid look like a christmas present) caused a RIOT and horror on here awhile back.

    It was adorable.

oh--i like your DDs bow too.  see she's got enough hair to actually use a bow.

but if you barely have any hair (even as much as my DD has), i find it pointless.

  • Tess, your DD has more hair than some 2 yr olds! I don't think that her 'hairbow' counts in the same way. It is actually holding her hair back!
  • I like how they keep DD's hair out of her eyes. Plus I think she looks cute in them.
  • I love bows on my nearly bald baby
  • I like them! I think they are cute and I know that all my babies will be bald so we will be using them (if we have a girl)!
  • Without a bow, how would anyone know if the bald baby is a girl or not? THAT is the point.

I can't imagine what kind of trauma may be inflicted on an infant not bowed for gender indication.

    Ditto!!!!

  • On babies with enough hair to warrant them:  they are ok.

On bald baies - they look like growths.

  • I love them. And I will stop putting them on my DD when people stop saying what a cute little boy I have.
  • My fav. bald baby with big bows is Ainsley, Jessibell's baby.  I admit I was not much of a bow fan until I saw pictures of her.  I think she pulls them off beautifully :)

once again, like tess's DD, your DD has plenty of hair. Bows are actually functional for her.

  • If I ever have a girl, I'm going to tape a spool of ribbon to her head.  I'm way too lazy to make a bow.
  • Bows help keep DD's hair out of her eyes...I love them!

That's what pierced ears are for.
  • LMAO at katie413 - awesome!
  • Ha!  Take that!

    And this!

    And that!

That's right!  I went there! Bam! Pow! ;-P

  • i think some people are so stupid that even if they saw a baby with a bow in her hair, they would still say "he's so cute"  people just don't pay attention.

i'm still sticking with bows are stupid until you have enough hair to use them properly.

    **gigglesnort**

    i actually like katie's idea.

  • I don't want my daughter to be a bow head or anything but, I do put them on Emerson from time to time.

  • Yeah I've never seen a bow that looked cute on a baby.

Tess12's baby however, MAY just run off with that prize tonight.

  • I disagree. I love them! LOL.  But I think that's because mine gets called a "he" if she doesn't have a bow and that was ANNOYING.
  • DD has a shit ton of hair bows. In fact, she got 6 or so for Christmas from her cousin. I would love to put them in her hair....

    If she had some.

  • I prefer pigtails for keeping her hair under control, but they fall out easily.  Her hair is actually long enough to get in one little pony tail at the back of her head.  That doesn't last long either, though.
  • Bows or not. Jack gets called a girl everytime we go out! Does my baby look like girl? Maybe it is the dresses? Hmmmmmmm...
