8 months is 3/4 of LO's life. Do whatever makes you feel comfortable, but if I was a guest and found out later it was almost LO's birthday, I'd feel really badly about not bringing something. (DH calls me a "present person" though, so maybe that's just me.)
yeah, I'm a present person, too. I love giving people stuff. I just don't like imposing. But you've got me convinced to mention it on the invite.

Halo=game that revolutionized the FPS (first person (perspective) shooter) genre of video games. Done by Bungie studios that became/was part of microsoft, these guys know how to make a good game, they bought themselves from microsoft several years back.
World of Warcraft= Massively Multiplayer Online RolePlaying Game. Typically played from a 'third person' perspective - first MMO to take the genre mainstream and really market themselves to women from an actual gaming perspective (beyond games like Sims, candy crush etc). Made by Blizzard.
No MMORPG has been able to match WoW's success but WoW has much declined over the past 5 years because its stale and Metzen (a developer) keeps ass-fucking the lore (story line). The FPS genre continues to have success with big franchises like Call of Duty but no ones done anything innovative.
Game makers have tried for years to find the next big franchise. Blizzard had something under development for years which internally panned - no one knows what the status is. Their other big franchise, Diablo III, which was a small group RPG did well but not great. But there hasn't been a clear "this is the next generation of gaming as we know it" solid entry into the space. Bungie has come up with what appears to be a legit shot at an FPS/MMORPG cross over with a shitload of innovation as to massively multiplayer gaming, bypassing some of the more annoying parts of online gaming, like a matchmaking system etc and delivering graphics that are sick, with a reputation for balanced combat systems and compelling storylines.
Based on these trailers, if Bungie is able to pull it off, Destiny will be that next gen game.
@etoille The fact that this interests you befuddles me, but the complexity of your thinking is an undiscovered masterpiece. You are gonna do great things if you capitalize off that mind of yours. *-:) Seriously, your thinking is what leaders, creators and CEO's are made of.
I am sitting on the couch watching tv drinking and squirting whipped cream from a can in my mouth every so often.
We call those whip hits. Enjoy and you have now inspired me. Sorry kids mommy at all the whip cream, oops
Wait I thought whip its are when you inhale the propellant?
I used to work in a restaurant supply store and we had to card and keep track of people who bought the cartridges.
Yes, I was just teasing. Adult whip hits are much different than teenager ones.
My can said whipping topping.
Men can't do anything. I have been up wih DD since she woke up at 6. We have played, ate and went to several stores. DH has slept in, pooped several times and has had several naps because he is so tired. He mowed the backyard only today. He was in charge of watching the kid while i had my whipped cream. He lasted maybe 30 mins. I had to go get DD since she was sitting up facing the wall crying in her crib while DH took another nap. I should have married a lesbian since she would care for DD like mommies do. At he is going OOT tomorrow and I won't have to deal with his pussiness.
Once my mom asked me to buy a co canister for whipped cream. I didnt specify at sur le table that it was for whipped cream. That thanksgiving we had carbonated whipped cream :-q
@joanna2004 Sadly men are like babies. They need to nap, eat and poop oftenly. They also get fussy when things don't go their way. Unlike babies they we aren't stuck with them forever. I hope you enjoy your hubby free day
Gawd men suck. I want a refund then. Though in my case I will get to keep DD with me forever. but ai will be old when she grows up. (
I wish it was time for bed at my house. I'm exhausted and LO is being a little fuss pot. He has a slight fever but I think it's related to teething (hopefully). He seems pretty miserable
Oh my god! This young guy who has worked for my dad for a few years is getting married in a month and his fiancée just sliced two of her toes off in a lawn mower! They were able to reattach one but not the other..... And her big toe is extremely damaged too. A bride's worst nightmare! I feel so bad, she's such a sweetheart.
@Lelo2006 What is it with eggs? The other night friends brought over hard boiled eggs in curry sauce for dinner. I didn't think A would like them, so I didn't put any on his tray. He wiggled into my lap, stood up and leaned over to grab at them from my plate, and for the first time signed "more." So I guess he has a global palate!
@simone711 I guess it depends on the circumstances. Rude for sure to storm off. On the flip side, I made a mama friend when a mom with a slightly older child shifted her daughter to a booster and gave me the highchair at a favorite bakery.
Mr. ken&kendra did his part today. He let me have a nap this afternoon, got the threenager to nap, watched both kids so I could grocery shop solo, and has already started post dinner cleanup.

@mermomo5 You and your sis look a lot alike. I love her dress.

@mermomo5 The wedding looks lovely. You and your sister are beautiful and young looking and the kids are adorable.
(Maybe we should DTD more often.)
