I'm just over 18 weeks and still don't really look pregnant! I'm finding myself wanting to have that overnight pop people talk about and wondering when it happened for others? I have a bit of bump envy!
Are you a FTM? What's your height/body type? I didn't pop with DD until after 20 weeks. It helped that I'm tall (5'10"), so she had a lot of room in there to spread up rather than out. I also know that larger women tend to show later.
This time, I popped over the course of the past week, so 16-17 weeks. The second (and more) time around, your body remembers and starts the expansion early. I understand the bump envy, but it will come soon enough, and then you'll miss your flat belly!
I popped where people who know me could tell right around 16 weeks. I still don't think a stranger would be able to tell though. I would say there is going to be a much bigger "pop" in my near future.
People who know me started giving me funny looks at 14 weeks, and one coworker asked if I was pregnant. Now in week 18 I recently had 3 people who don't know me ask me when I was due, so I guess it's pretty obvious to everyone at this point.
I haven't popped yet. In fact, a couple of days ago, a woman at the playgroup I take the kids to asked me when I was due, and when I told her, she said, "Where are you hiding it?" I think I was around 20 weeks last time, so maybe that's when it will happen again this time.
I started showing pretty early on but didn't really pop until about 17w - that's when strangers started making comments. I'm a FTM, 5'5 and 125lbs pre-preg, so that's probably why.
I'd say this week (18) I did. With my first pregnancy I didn't wear maternity until I was over 20 weeks. Like someone else said, there's a lot more popping to go!
I haven't "popped" yet.I am short and overweight. So I more so just rub my belly as if it is a bump so I don't just look fat. working so far. I fear when I pop I will fall on my face
I am short and round. Ugh. I am 18 weeks tomorrow and haven't popped yet... I had a coworker make a rally hurtful remark when is asked if she could see a bump. Basically she said I have two bumps. I have that ugly B belly thing going on and the way she pointed and laughed about it really hurt my FTM feelings. Now I'm just kinda pissed off at her.
@jj0313 thank you for making me feel less crazy. Sometimes I take things too personal but I was hurt because I wasn't expecting her to be so mean spirited. I was being funny and light hearted and she took it somewhere else. It always kind of takes me aback when a woman is mean to another woman.
@silverwings72 - So sorry she said that to you. It was very rude. I have the same problem with the whole double belly thing, it's just the way some of us carry weight in the belly area. I even lost a ton of weight and it didn't go anywhere lol. Now I feel like I just look chubbier and not pregnant yet so I'm hoping for that "pop" soon. I've learned women can be very mean - when I was losing weight and I finally had the confidence to wear a dress with leggings to work one of the other teachers commented that I looked good up top but my legs were still fat. Yeah, women can be supportive but they can also really tear you down. You rock that belly, girl, it's a baby bump which are super awesome .
With my first it was probably 20-21 weeks, my second between 17-18 weeks and this one around 13-14 weeks. I am also only 5 ft tall so there isn't many places to go but out!
To my friends and coworkers, I'm showing. But to strangers, I'm sure I just look like I carry fat around my belly button haha. Like my boss said one day, kinda looks like I had a big lunch! Can't wait till it's obvious why I'm ordering two jumbo hot dogs.... for a good reason :P
still waiting for that pop -- but I think with being 5'10 I'll be waiting a bit longer. Some days I feel larger than others -- and tho I feel like I look pregnant everyone else seems to think I'm "barely showing" I'm sure it will all catch up with me soon!
I'm a FTM still waiting to pop! I'm 5'1" with a pre-pregnancy weight of 107lbs. Am 15wks 2days now. I assume I've probably just got an iddy biddy baby in there since I'm a small person and DH is average height and slim. I totally have bump envy!!!
With my first, I didn't have a noticeable bump until 20 weeks. With this one, I have a lot more belly fat than I did the first time around, and I feel like all my flub got pushed up and out very soon. By 13 weeks, it was impossible to suck in. Now at 15 weeks I have a cute little rounded belly and I'm rocking a tight maternity tank today. I'm having a good belly day, lol.
People I see regularly can tell, but they're looking for it. My mom told me I was starting to show a week or so ago (as opposed to my MIL who swore I had a pouch by 10wks. Ha!). I definitely feel bigger than I look to the rest of the world, though when browsing the maternity stores now, people no longer think I'm shopping for someone else... I'm sure my pop is juuuuuust around the corner.
eta: no bump envy here! While this in-between stage is frustrating, I am in no rush for the misery I anticipate this summer!
I really popped this last week or so at 17 weeks. I had a client ask me if I was pregnant so I guess that says a lot. We went to a birthday party for my nieces yesterday and as soon as I walked in everyone gushed over my bump, so I can no longer hide it! I also had to buy a couple of pairs of maternity pants because I don't fit I to any of my casual pants anymore. Oh- and I'm 5'8 and average weight.
@excitedpreggo12 I had someone tell me I was too big for how far along I am too. So rude! Same person that told me she didn't get why anyone would find out the sex of their baby beforehand. People are so opinionated!
I am almost 17 weeks and asbig as my sis was at 24 weeks. I am scurred
I hear ya! My sis had her 8lb 8oz daughter 6 months ago (@ 41wks4 days!) & part of me wants to compare my milestones but, well, no thanks! ) I keep reminding myself that we are built totally different. She's built more like our dad (5'10" very long in the torso & athletic) and I'm stacked more like our mom (a 5'5" very short waisted hourglass)... I got the T & she has the A, so there's no real comparison (scurry in itself).
I feel like I noticeabley popped this week or last, I'm 17 weeks with twins and FTM. OB says I'm measuring 20 weeks (for a singleton pregnancy). It's a little cute but a little annoying when I walk in the door and DH breaks out in a huge smile when seeing my belly, just makes me feel like I'm getting huge already
Ftm, pre pregnancy weight 120, 5'8" or 5'9". At 16 weeks, someone I knew asked if I have news to share. At 17 weeks I need to start wearing maternity pants. But now at 18 weeks, people who don't know me still can't tell. I still just look fat at the belly.
According to my husband and my family I am really starting to show. I am 17 weeks and depending what I wear it is really obvious. I am 5'7 and a barely overweight for my BMI according to my pre-pregnancy weight. I am nervous I am gaining and showing to quickly but my MD hasn't said anything yet. Hoping the baby is not huge
Edit: I am 17 weeks and 4 days haha not 16...time is going faster than I thought.
15w FTM w/ twins here. Prior to pregnancy I was 5ft5in 112lb (but really long waisted). I don't think I ever experienced that overnight "pop" people keep talking about. Mine was more slow... And while I can tell I'm pregnant and so can others who already know, I think to the average person I look like I just are too many tacos.

I'm 17 weeks and yesterday was the first day that SO really thought I looked pregnant. Before that, he said that he could tell I was bigger, but he didn't think anyone else would.
My sister and my mom have been gushing about my "bump" since 9 weeks.
8-| No amount of "that's not baby, that's bloat" would deter them. It made me extra stabby.
Oh, and I'm 5'8 and probably had 10 extra pounds when I found out.
I think for me it was like 12 weeks- I'm a 3rd time mom. I haven't gained any weight, I did gain 2 lbs but I've since lost it but I'm belly makes me look like I've gained 15lbs.
I popped around 16-17 weeks. I have had several people ask when the baby is due.
At our A/S on Friday with all the measurements they took they judged the baby's weight to be 11.5oz which according to the bump app is the weight of a baby between 20-21 weeks not 19 weeks! The ultrasound tech said since DH (6'5") and I (5'7") are tall (he more than I) the baby might just be on the larger size. Now I am crossing my fingers he doesn't end up being a 10lb+ baby!

I had a decent bump/fatty thing happening at 15/16 weeks but I'm almost 19 weeks now and feel like a house. I'm aware this isn't HDBD lol, but I compared the pictures this morning and was surprised actually.
