So irritated (MIL problems)

When MIL was watching DD yesterday, I told FI to ask for our infant seat back that she had been using because DD is getting too tall for it. It's a Graco Snugride 35 (weight limit of 35 lbs. and height limit is 32"…DD is now 31 1/2 in.) Apparently she told FI she still needs it because she puts someone's 3 year old from church in it! What the what?! 1. We did not give it to her to put someone else's kid in it on a consistent basis, and 2. It's a freaking INFANT seat! FI told her how unsafe that was, and I guess all she said was "Well, I'll talk to her dad about it." Um no, you'll be giving me that carseat back the first second I see you. What the hell is she thinking?? Andplusalso, why is this girl's parents not providing a carseat for her??

ETA: another thought to add.

    Wow, how crazy! I get annoyed when my mom takes my kids anywhere because she can't even install the car seat so it won't move. But to find our she head been putting other kids in a seat not set for them? Scary.

    Spelling is hard...
