Ok so I did post on TTc over 35 but figured some of you would not be on that board.
My question is who has a CBFM and how do you like it?
I have been wanting to buy one for a few months but did not want to spend the money.
Well I did end up buying one the other day it will be here next week.
Just wondering how easy it is to use. Do you feel it is better than Opk's, do you still use OPKs.
I know everyone is different have read some reviews and it seems many think it is great. I am planning using it next cycle if this cycle does not work out. Thanks for your imput. Just curious on how others like it.

Re: CBFM anyone have and like
I got a BFP after 2 months of using mine, so I am a fan. Unfortunately, when I MC after I had really weird cycles and didn't ovulate, it was confirmed by it too, so I know it was working. I liked it because I'm not great with FF and my wake time varies greatly for temping, so it is a nice 2nd opinion for the estrogen rise. This month with a round of clomid it was spot on also. It's relatively more $$ than an OPK, but it made things easier for me knowing I had to test every day it told me to. If you go on amazon, you can get a package for about $200 that includes the monitor, 30 test strips, and some pg tests as well.
Also, I figured out (because the are not cheap) that you can buy the testers from CVS but they are more $$ than amazon, and usually the stores only stock one box, if any, at the store at a time. Hope that helps!

It takes a bit of figuring out to make it work with your cycle, but I have one and really like it. I use it every morning, and this last cycle was the first it really worked properly for me since I had a shorter (for me) cycle and set CD1 on the monitor on my actual CD8.
If your cycles run long, don't start it on Day 1, instead make sure you set Day 1 to give you long enough for the monitor to pick up on your O day. It only lets you use 20 strips, and typically starts asking for them on CD7, so if you typically O on day 30 (I have long cycles), you will miss your peak.
I have a pee stick habit, so I tend to use the CBFM in the morning, and then OPKs in the afternoon and evening. My surge is very short however, so I have to test more often in order to catch it.
I'm happy with the monitor, I've used it 3 cycles now, but I'm still here, so I can't exactly say it's helped me to conceive faster :P
Good luck!
Thank you for your post. I actually did order the one from amazon that had the test strips plus a few pregnancy tests. I figured what the heck. I had a few gift cards to Amazon so it made it a little cheaper.
Thank you. My cycle has been about 28 dad since my Dnc. So many I should start a few days later like you said. I think it will give me a little less stress if I do the along with the opk's. this month O seems a bit later which is frustrating. Thanks for all your advice. I did not know most of it so thanks!!
I have one and love it!! This was my first month using it and charting and without it I would have missed my O for the month. I used to only calculate when I should O and this time that would have been off by several days.
My advice is be sure to read the instruction manual! It's very easy to follow and I found it so helpful. The first month you use it be expected to go through more of the sticks than you possibly will in the following months. I think once it gets used to your cycle it won't ask you to test as often.
I do not use the OPKs because I figured this would be enough but my GmaIL gave me a coupon the other day for some so I may get some, you know just to compare what the monitor is saying.
GL!!
Awesome!!! Thank you!!!
I have one (and like it) but have not used it in a while. I kept forgetting to order the test strips and then I'd forget to turn it on before CD6... See a pattern?
If this isn't my month I intend to use the monitor next month. It is easy to use once you read the directions. In the past I have been very impressed by how accurate it has been, and since it seems that I have a slow rising bbt post O, I want to make sure we are getting our timing right. Good luck with it! I hope it helps you.

Hello,
Thanks for your post, that gives me hope. I am sorry for your loss, I had a MC back in Feb. I got AF back 5 weeks later so I will send out good vibes for her quick return. How are you doing? Please feel free to contact me if you want to chat, vent, anything. I am waiting to see what happens the next two weeks, if AF comes back then I will start using the monitor next cycle. Yeah that is what kept me from getting the monitor was the price. I wanted to wait a little bit, we got pregnant back in Dec first try, I know that was complete luck!!! I knew it would not happen this time but wanted to make sure all was ok after DnC so now that it has been 2 cycles ttc after DnC I thought I should now go with my gut and just get the monitor. Thanks so much for your post and please feel free to contact me if you need anything.
Thanks so much!!! HA have to laugh, yeah I see your pattern. That is one thing I am good at, I temp every day and will do the OPKs without forgetting no problem so in that way I think I will be good. I do wish the price of the monitor and strips was not so expensive, crazy you would think by now they would be cheapter!!!
Well I will be with you next month in using the monitor if this is not our month. Here is too this is the month for both of us!!!
