That lumpy, bumpy, lopsided look...

Maybe she's born with it. Or maybe she's breastfeeding.

Seriously. Do things even up as supply regulates, or am I fated to look like someone's granny for the next several months?

  • I think mine look the same size now. I can definitely tell if they are super full or which one I last fed off of by feeling them. My LO is 3 weeks. When my milk came in, it was horrible. I was all lumps

  • When my milk came in it was horrible.  Like I had a sack of stones instead of breasts.  I went to a bra store to get a nursing bra that would hold me, the folks working there were double taking.  They settled down after a few days when the engorgement was over.

    If you're not engorged but still lumpy I've heard this can be because you're not emptying your milk ducts evenly.  Try massaging the lumpy areas while breastfeeding to encourage the milk to come out.
