Maternity clothes

Went and bought a pair of cropped maternity jeans during my lunch break. Can I just say, most comfortable thing ever! I may live in them forever.

When I checked out though, the clerk asked me if I was pregnant. I said yes (hence the buying of the maternity jeans), and she looked at me weird and in an accusatory way said "oh ..... well you don't LOOK pregnant". Uhm, thanks? Sorry? Didn't realize I had to look pregnant to buy maternity clothes.

Sorry that happened to you. My principal looked a bit incredulous when I announced to her today since I'm not very big yet. I tried on the maternity pants I had been saving for a while and they really ARE so comfy!! Can't wait to wear them to work now that people know I'm pregnant. Pants without zippers are so great! Lol
Married my best friend 7/2/11 - Furbaby born 7/9/11 and brought into our home 9/1/11

BFP#1:   2/2/13 ~ exact m/c date unknown but around 3/20 at 10 weeks ~ diagnosed with PMP ~ D&C on 4/5 ~ TTA for at least 1 year due to PMP ~ cleared to TTC 1/14

    BFP#2:   2/7/14 ~ m/c 2/20/14 ~ possibly due to chemical pregnancy ~ TG no D&C is needed

Surprise BFP#3:  4/4/14 ~ super duper extra happy (and nervous) about this one - EDD 12/9/14!!!

John Joseph was born on 12/12/14 at 7 lbs. 11 oz.  He is the most beautiful rainbow baby we could have wished for!

Thanks, I just thought it was an odd thing to say. And, right?! I didn't think jeans could be that comfortable! I may never wear pants with zippers again.

I think I need to just get over it and go buy maternity pants. I am totally grumpy about it because I had already donated all my awesome pregnancy clothes when I found out about this little one.

Yep.  Overall loving my maternity jeans and yoga pants.  My issue with the maternity jeans is that they sit about 1 inch lower than I would like them and now they have stretched so I am constantly adjusting the waist band.

I was wondering if it would eventually stretch out @C&EChicago! And that's awesome @ashtonkitty1

My mother got a tiny bit excited & took me on a shopping spree at motherhood today. 4 pants; 2 jeans 2 work pairs & 6 tops. They even had a fake tummy to shove in the pants to get the full effect! Lol. But anyways - the Jessica Simpson stuff is so cute & the jeans are quite stylish!

I bought my first pair of maternity pants today & they are so comfortable! I actually purchased 2 pairs of pants & a pair of shorts. Can't wait to wear the pants to work!

A couple weeks back I purchased some maternity shirts & 2 fitted maternity dresses online. They are crazy cute & comfortable. Still not big enough to fill them in but getting there. I love it! Grow baby, grow!

I went to motherhood and got 2 pairs of work pants and a pair of Jessica Simpson leggings which are so comfy! One of my friends told me to look at goodwill for pants, and I've now got 2 pair of jeans for $10 and I love them.

Maybe the clerk thought she was making a compliment. It was still rude. I cannot fit into any of my summer clothes so looks like I will need to start shopping asap. I have one pair of "fat" jeans that are so comfortable but that is pretty much it. My shirts still fit barely due to my growing boobs.

One of the anesthesiologist said the same thing to me last week. That I didn't look pregnant after I had mentioned to the doc I was working with that I hadn't gained any real weight but nothing fits. I just let it go since I walk around in scrubs everyday. No one has a cute figure in scrubs unless they are your own.
I had to buy a pair of shorts from Target because I had nothing to fit me aside from my maxi skirts. Best idea ever. Still annoyed that to even go shopping to start with. I had just donated everything but my nursing bras a month prior to finding out.

I"m trying to put off maternity pants as long as I can.  I get to wear scrubs to work everyday, so that's a huge bonus.  I'm thinking there will be lots of sundresses worn this summer.  Although I was looking online at Old Navy yesterday just to see what was out there and they have some pretty cute stuff!

I bought my first maternity clothes today, too! My Mom and I went to Kohls, whose maternity section was a shitshow. Thank god for my Mom, who was patient enough to sort through the clothes (I would have said f- this s-) and I ended up getting a ton of really cute stuff for super cheap! I got pants for $8!

I need to invest in a belly band soon, but for now I'm using a ponytail holder and half-unzipping my jeans to be worn with longer blouses. Not announcing for a couple more weeks at least, and the belly band would be pretty obvious. lol

Ok but seriously what I the deal with the sales people in maternity stores. I went the other day since time without DD to shop is precious. So ya at that point I wasn't showing and the clerk full on said "don't you think it's a little early to be buying mat clothes?". Oh I am sorry gate keeper of pregnant fashion I didn't see the "you must be this round to enjoy the ride" sign. GFY maybe I just lurve elastic waistbands.

I second that maternity pants are THE most comfortable things (you feel the comfort of yoga pants with the fashion of jeans! Perfect combo) but that maxi dresses/skirts are even BETTER somehow! Maxi skirts are my go to right now with the temperatures rising and it's so nice to have some air flow but also some stretch in the fabric. You must buy one next if you love maternity jeans this much! :)
