I lost the stone out of my engagement ring last Saturday. It wasn't covered under my homeowners insurance (my fault), but DH and I talked about getting it replaced and he didn't seem to have an opinion about it one way or another. Well I went shopping for a replacement ring last week, visited a few stores, got some price quotes and then talked to DH about it. His response was "Do you need to replace it right away? Can't you wait? It's too much money to spend right away". Then today he brings up wanting to paint the exterior of the house. I'm really hurt and upset that he he's obsessing over painting the house (it doesn't need it, he just doesn't like the color ((red cedar)) and it will cost almost $1000 between paint and supplies and time taken off of work), but doesn't want me to replace my ring.
I didn't wear my wedding band today because I'm super pissed right now.
It sounds like he doesn't understand how important it is to you. Can you talk to him about it?

I would talk to him again, sorry he isn't seeing the importance to you. Did you look into getting a used stone instead of an entire new ring?
If you receive shitty customer service somewhere and are still pissed about it a week later, you should make a complaint, right?
I totally would although I always say I will and never follow through.
I'm like this too, but last week we got the Taco pizza we ordered for delivery without the lettuce, tomato or sour cream on top. My husband said I wouldn't call, which gave me the incentive to call and we got a free pizza the next time we order . I was very polite and didn't even have to ask (just told them it arrived without the toppings), they just offered a free pizza.
I do the dance moves to Drunkin' Love when I am at work with my co-worker. It's the only song where Beyonce dances like she's white girl wasted and I can actually do the moves (not that I have ever danced while being white-girl wasted )

@MRoxy0628 where did you get taco pizza from? Yum.
Sarpinos. Do they have that place in FL?
No. My favorite (and only) place to get Taco Pizza at home was Happy Joe's. They closed down, so now I'm looking for another place to get Taco Pizza while we are up there.

I know Godfathers has one too. I hope you find a taco pizza.

Me too! I also need to find an Erbert & Gerbert's and Noodles. I eat so much when we visit home
I had an appt with the osteopathic specialist yesterday, and he was finally able to "adjust" my pubis Maximus. My pelvis is so misaligned that my right leg was measuring a solid half inch shorter than my left. The adjustment about had me in tears...and now it feels like I am going to birth this baby tonight. It's crazy, I think that having my pelvis aligned forced the baby to drop. Even my belly looks different. Is this even possible? Or am I just being crazy because I'm so over being pregnant?
@BPer my midwife did a re-alignment of my pelvis when I was like 41 weeks along. It definitely helped me! And M did move further down in my pelvis. Midwife did an internal after and he was sitting lower.
My hip was out of place really bad, like I could hardly walk I was in so much pain. The pain went away instantly.
That's where I'm at, and still really sore from the alignment today. I'm not hoping to pop 2.0 out in the next few weeks, but it would be nice if weekly adjustments meant I wouldn't need to be induced, or have to push for 3 hours because the head is lodged underneath my pubic bone.
@PenelopePond I live where Happy Joes head quarters is located. It's totally a thong people come home for.
You do?! We usually go through there on the way home because we drop my MIL off for a rug hooking thing. She's not coming with us this year, so we are just going right up through IL.
@miss50 & @PenelopePond Happy Joes was served at my college's cafeteria for lunch once a week. Augustana College was where I first had taco pizza. I like it ok. But I'm a die-hard Taylor St pizza fan. That is the best QCA pizza hands down. And I know pizza. I'm Sicilian. BUT I know that @MommaP12 is the Queen of Chicago Pizza, so she would trump me any day.
@MelsaX too late for this time, but I would absolutely say something. Our parks and local play places have policies that you cannot take children down between your legs due to the increased risk of breaking their leg. The age restrictions don't bother me as much - C goes on all of the "5-12" equipment. But she only goes on what she can do on her own.
All that to say, I would make management aware of it.

All of this. If L wants to go down on her own, she is welcome to. She manages some big, scary slides with ease. I would tell management about the leg breaking thing and ask them to look at adding it as a policy.

I'm 99% sure it's a Midwest only thing.

@amandad715 what is Taylor Street pizza. I've never heard of it.
