I came to the hospital at 6 pm Wednesday for induction due to preeclampsia. At 8, I was given my first dose of cytotec and was 0 cm. This drug did start mild contractions. At 1 am, I was still closed and given a second dose. At 6:30 am, my doctor inserted a Foley balloon into my 1 cm open cervix. That gave me some nice contractions, but didn't fall out on its own.
Thursday evening, my doctor came to check me and drain the Foley and found that I was 4 cm. He broke my water and started me on magnesium and pitocin. I also got an epidural because of the high blood pressure.
At 7:30 am Friday, the nurse checked me and I was 8 cm. The doctor arrived a few minutes later to add fluid back to the womb to relieve cord pressure since the contractions had slowed from every 2 minutes to every 7. As he left to get the orders, I had massive painful contraction and pressure. Sure enough, he checked me and I was 10 cm. Rock n roll, bitches!
Yeah. Epi wore off 3x on me..but by this time it was too late for another boost. Shewas born after some hardcore pushes. 5lb12oz, 19 inches. She had lowsugars, so had to be supplemented. I had a first degree tear.
I am still on magnesium and lactated ringers for preeclampsia until tomorrow morning, but I feel pretty good.

BFP#3 10/29/13! Beta#1 at 4w5d - 2141, beta#2 at 5w1d - 7651! U/S 11/21/13 showed baby measuring 2 days ahead with a heartbeat of 127 bmp!
