    Wow. For everyone dying to know the nub theory judges the "angle of the dangle" for 12-16 week babies. If its 30 degrees pointed up or more, it can indicate boy. If it lays more flat parallel with the spine it can indicate girl. The skull theory suggests girls have more rounded heads earlier on and boys look more angular and blocky. But really, it was just for fun. Some of you are seriously ridiculous. Thank you to those who are rational and act like adults.

    It's absolutely possible to determine sex at 12/13 weeks, because the genital tube is turning into genitalia. Babies all differ within ranges, so some have a visible penis/scrotum or vagina while others may have a tube. OB is better trained at reading an ultrasound than a tech, so if your OB provides the sex, then go for it. It's definitely easier to see genitalia at 20 weeks, so that's why the anatomy scan is scheduled then.

    Serious question. Who is finding out the sex of the baby at 13 weeks based on an ultrasound? I've never met anyone online or IRL who has and I've been on TK, TN, TB and various spin off boards since 2003. I found out the sex at 12 weeks becuase I had a blood test that looked at the baby's DNA.
    My US tech asked if I wanted her to guess the sex at my NT scan at 12w4d... she guessed boy.  So there is a 50% chance that It's A Boy!

    Thanks for clarifying.  So since ultrasound tech told the OP she is having a boy... then perhaps her boy is more on the "well endowed" side of this range.

    Thanks for clarifying.  So since ultrasound tech told the OP she is having a boy... then perhaps her boy is more on the "well endowed" side of this range.   

    Thank you for your explanation!! I too thought it was a little soon to make a verdict so that's why I just wanted to post this just for fun :) we shall see in a few more weeks! The Tech seemed pretty confident but I'm definitely not buying boy stuff just yet. :P

    don't blame yourself I asked a question close to this and got a bunch of backlash apparently the bump is just not this sight for us there is so many bullies on here I'm sure they will have something to say about this also but lets not let them turn our world upside down we will not give them the power to make our day bad. only we have the power to choose if we are going to be happy sad or mad.they are very unhappy people I wish the best for them but this is no longer the site for me I went looking at other topics and wow the same two girls at it again, it really is a shame because I really do like all the other perks on this app I really do not like the bullying it is absolutely ridiculous being pregnant is supposed to be a wonderful thing sharing moments and one of those wonderful moments is finding out the sex guessing the sex its so much fun why that has to be such a problem I don't know. you have my support I'm sad to leave this club but I'm not sad for all the the mean people on here, I control how I feel and nobody else will make me have a bad day god bless you

    Thank you, you seem like a really sweet girl. I genuinely am not butthurt, more just shocked that grown women are so childish. I too thought you could post silly things like this without tons of negativity and people acting like your IQ is 30. These theories are real, my tech even told me about them. Ignorance is prevalent in this thread and that's not our problem. :) If something light hearted upsets people so much then they're not the people I want to share my excitement with anyways.

    This is the thread that keeps on giving. 

     TTC since August 2011, Me = 40, DH = 38
    Unexplained IF. Tried Clomid for 3 cycles. All BFNs. BFP 1/6/13. Chemical pregnancy.

    Moving on to IVF#1. ER 11/26/13, 16 eggs retreived, 12 mature and all fertilized. 2 blasts transferred on 12/1. All other embies arrested so nothing left to freeze. Beta 12/10 = BFN. IVF #2 March 2014. BFP!!! TEAM BLUE!!!

    I don't need to use the quote button the mean girls on here know who they are sorry that message came out and let messed up...my point here is I'm praying for you and praying for people not to get their feelings hurt I'm praying for the mean people to change their heart....I don't know what sensitive to be so mean and hateful when people just are talking about the sex of the baby why are you trying to take everybody's joy? it really actually hurts my heart and makes me cry to see you boil all these people on the bump. Its not just one person I can see how many people are you actually bowling I know there is at least two of you if you don't know who you are go back and read your post it's the people that are laughing is the people that are being funny it's the people that don't have comforting things to say and wanna make fun of other people's posts.

    I'll probably just go back to lurking. I've been following the threads for a month or two and there's been plenty of helpful information.

    Honestly, maybe I saw posts similar to this on my baby bump app. You might be right that there's not a lot on here. Sorry for the confusion? I won't poke these porcupines anymore. :P
