Honest opinion on name

So I'm curious to see what you ladies think of some of my top names and if you had any suggestions that could go with any of these names.

My favourite for a girl is
Charlotte Willow

Others I like for a first name are
Isla
Evelyn (Evie)
Quinn
Eva
Darcy

I know my top name doesn't flow extremely well but for whatever reason I really like it.

Any honest opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Were pretty set on a boy name :)

  • I like Charlotte willow! I like Evelyn but it's too popular for me. Eva is too close to Ava which is again too popular for me. I bet a Darcy before so I know it's A girl's name but it will always be mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett for me. Quinn I just started to hear it's nice not my style but I like it.

Huh see I think Charlotte is very popular right now for little girls. Still, nothing wrong with the name. I agree Charlotte willow doesn't flow well but in reality middle names are so rarely said it doesn't matter. If you love it go for it.
Agree it's no Ava or Isabella but it's up there

  • I like Charlotte Willow. It's very unique and is a name with character. Gotta give kids a good name with good character. And Evelyn is so old fashioned that I love it! My family is big on using names that have run in the family so I've always loved older style names. I have a sister named Opal and my son is named Frank. Evelyn Marie has a nice, old ring to it. Almost sounds anitque. Happy name finding @myrainbowbaby2015‌ !
  • I think Charlotte is a good, strong name. The only other one I like on your list is Evelyn. I've actually seen quite a few Isla's since my son was born and I was like, huh when did that name become a thing? Not that it's bad, but definitely nms.

  • I live in Australia and Charlotte is actually number 1 on the most popular names list for last year which kinda sucks but not a big bother.

Thanks for the suggestions I love them!

I love rose for a middle name as it's DH mother who has passed away a middle name but his sister used it for her daughter.

  • I like the name Charlotte Willow.

Do you think your SIL would be upset if your used Rose as a middle name?  Like the others said, the middle name is not used very often.

  • My favs from your list are: Charlotte, Evelyn and Quinn. All very pretty names- I know someone whos name is Charlotte and goes by Charlie its pretty cute!!

  • Quinn is our #1 name for a girl right now...the hardest part is finding a middle name to go, that being said with DD, Charlotte was in our top 3 so I clearly think you have great taste in names and you can't go wrong either way ;)

    Love the name Charlotte Willow!

Also I don't know who those Willows are in those pictures, but I'm sure they'll be distant history by the time your baby is aware of pop culture.
  • My niece is Charlotte Reese. :) But goes by Charlie. I'm pretty jealous your husband's letting you discuss baby names at this point.

I'm sorry, I can't help it today. If I hear the name Quinn, I automatically think of this. And the name willow makes me think of the little person in the movie Willow.

  • Haha these are so funny!!! If we have a girl and name her charlotte she will be called Charlie as I love that so much for a little girl!

Dont think I'm a freak but I actually became aware of Willow as it's P!nks little girls name and I thought it was so cute and then I watched a interview and she said she picked it cause the willow tree can't be bought down by anything it's the strongest tree around and I love that!
  • I really like Charlotte. Even though Willow is NMS I think it is fine.

From the rest of your list I love Isla.

    Dec '12 & Jan '15
I could hold you for a million years to make you feel my love.

Hmm... I don't know if it applies to all Willow trees, but my understanding is that weeping willows do fall quite often as they have a very shallow root system. I could be mistaken though.

I love Charlotte - it was my grandmom's name, and I'd like to use it for this baby, but DH doesn't agree. I'll warn you that DH likes to be obnoxious and think of how to make fun of names, and when I said Charlottle, he said, "I just had a shartlotte in my pants." Geez. Anyway, as I said, I like the name.

I don't like Willow. Makes me think of Willow Smith or the movie Willow.

I like Eva, Ava, Isla. The others are NMS.
  • I like Charlotte and Evelyn (not together though) but I think they're pretty popular right now if that matters to you.

  • I like Charlotte, it was one of the ones I was considering my my DH didn't like it. I just love the idea of a little girl called Charley. I definitely thought of Buffy with the name Willow. I don't dislike it, but I agree, middle names aren't used as much, so if you love it, do it.
I also like Isla and Quinn from your list. I do think Quinn is pretty popular, especially because of Glee, which knocked it out of our running, but to each his own.

  • I like the name :) I don't think the middle name has to flow.

FWIW, the middle names we're using are either Raye (girl) or Hale (boy). If the first name is a good strong name, I see no reason to not give them a unique (I guess it could also be deemed "different") middle name, IMO.
Where I am from Raye is actually a pretty popular middle name for a girl. I like it :)

  • I like Quinn and Charlotte.
  • I have had four friends name their daughters Charlotte in the last year. Evelyn is also becoming very popular. But if you love a name you love it! I am a tiffany, Lord knows there are lots of my name out there! I love your option of Quinn! Beautiful and unique!
  • Quinn is our #1 name for a girl right now...the hardest part is finding a middle name to go, that being said with DD, Charlotte was in our top 3 so I clearly think you have great taste in names and you can't go wrong either way ;)

I liked Quinn also -- and had to same problem! Every middle name felt like I was naming her "Queen _____"!

  • I love willow as the first name. Middle names I never understood but I also don't have one. Willow reminds me of a sweet girl. It's tough though for girls there's so many names. I love the name Quinn. Not a big fan if Charlotte. I been hearing that name go around a lot for new babies. Either way it's your decision. The name my husband and I are picking my entire family hates but again they don't have to like it. We do.
  • Haha thanks for your reply @avaquinn‌ but we found out it's a boy so doesn't matter now haha :)
  • If we have a girl Charlotte is my first choice, so obviously I like it! Willow is not my style though - it reminds me of 70's flower children

All great choices, and well received as Jane Austen name theory would predict. Only willow and Quinn will be polarizing. Personally I do like the name willow. I dislike Quinn because it's soooooo popular right now, randomly. It's like Harper
