Had my 36 week appointment today...baby's heart rate was 136, and my blood pressure was good (118/70). Otherwise, had the Group B Strep test and she did an internal check as well - low but thick cervix and about 1 cm or so dilated. All in all a pretty good check up.

I have my 3 week post c-section appointment to check my incision. I should have called days ago because I think I have a UTI too so I'm going to ask about that.

Appt went ok. Baby is fine. My BP is crazy low-101/50. I'm 1-2cm and 50% effaced. Here's why I'm freaking:
Doc is already discussing induction on due date (6/13) due to baby's size from 36w ultrasound. I convinced her to let me do a BPP next Tuesday and discuss options at that point. I feel like they are going to push me to induce next Fri or Sat or schedule a C if the kid is still measuring big. Obviously, I want to do what's safest, but I'm really anti-induction and afraid of a c-section.

So- can we all just hope that I go into labor before Tuesday so I don't have to make this decision??

I have a biophysical at 1:00, followed by my 40 week appointment. We will be discussing induction. It's with a new doctor since mine had her baby last week and I'm anxious about when she will want to induce. My doctor had planned to do it last week, but I'm still here with an inside baby. I'm fine with that, but hope this new doctor has a plan for me.

Had an ultrasound/NST/appointment this morning (I'm 38w4d). Everything looks awesome- but only a fingertip dilated and discussed an induction for the end of next week (due to GD)- which I also want to avoid. Really hoping for some action in the next week, but also really happy that the baby and I are looking good!

39 week appt. this afternoon and my last scheduled weekly appt. My due date is Mon. so I'm pretty sure they are going to discuss induction/set an induction date.

I have my weekly appointment today. Last week, I was at 1cm with very thin cervix and baby very low, so if I've had any progress and things seem favorable, I might request a membrane sweep.

I'll start by saying I feel a bit awkward joining all of you this late in the game; I just found this board a few days ago since I have entered a zero-productivity level at work and have been browsing on the computer attempting to look busy...My apologies for literally jumping in at the last minute. But y'all seemed like an awesome group so I really wanted to give it a go!

39 week appointment is this afternoon. I always try to get these last appointments in the morning since blood pressure seems to be better and they don't make as many comments about induction when your feet look like they belong to a human. Oh well. Last week was at 1.5 dilated, 50% effaced. Hoping for progress but not holding my breath. Good luck to everyone!!

39/40 week appointment this morning. 2cm and 80% effaced. The doctor stripped my membranes again so hoping labor starts soon!

Just had my 37 week appointment. I got a cervical check because I told them about my more painful contractions when walking around. I'm 1 cm dilated, 50% effaced and he is at -1 to 0 station. She also said my cervix was "out front" which she thought was great (I guess because everything is lined up?). I know it doesn't necessary mean anything but I'm happy to hear something is happening down there! She predicted that he is about 6 to 6.5 lbs. My BP was good, baby's HR was good and fundal height was right on.

Had my 36 week appointment today. Heart rate is good, baby is still down, GBS test came back negative, 2-3 cm dilated, 50% and -2 station. Baby is now measuring even farther ahead, fundal height is 41 so next week we will have a final ultrasound to determine if a vaginal delivery is an option.

@lilnunz1 I feel your pain! I'm sorry you have to go through the big baby motions too! FX that your baby will get into birthday gear soon! I am torn between wanting to give him the time he needs to cook and wanting him to come out to avoid the c-section because at this point I know it may not be an option after 38 weeks. I have never had a term baby and it has been my goal to get there. Only 3 more days!

Waiting for my 2pm appt. I usually come in first thing in the morning and never have to wait so this kind of sucks. Haven't decided if I am going to do the internal check or not, I am having a c/s so I hope I am not dilated.

Had my 37 week appt this morning and they did the strep b test and checked me. 1 to 2 cm dilated and 70% effaced with 0 to 1 station (I'll have to look up what that means) but I was glad to hear something was going on down there. I honestly don't think my poor fingers can swell anymore. Although I'm finding it hilarious the differences between this baby girl and when I had my son. Ok maybe hilarious is a bit much but nobody slept at our house last night.

Had my appointment this morning. She said my cervix is "not favorable".... However, she said there was fingertip dilation so that's good at least. Still have time until I think she'll make me start thinking about induction, but seriously, induction scares me worse than anything almost!!

@amtellez28 Nope you're not crazy! Mine is high if I'm excited / nervous or if it is a late-in-the-day appointment.

It would have been off the charts today if they had ever gotten to it...I had an appt for 2:45, arrived at 2:15 and finally decided I had to leave at 3:50 or I wouldn't be on time to pick up DD from daycare. I'm not sure what to do now; my doc is on vacation from the 6th - 18th (I'm due the 11th) so should I even reschedule? He has 7 other partners in the office, so if I do re-schedule, there is no telling if that will even be the same doctor I will get for delivery. I'd kinda prefer not to have a million different docs giving different opinions and just muddling things even more. For now, we have decided to just wait on labor. Sigh.

Just had my 38 wk checkup. Dr said my cervix is very soft and I'm "a little bit" dilated. He didn't give specific numbers and I didn't think to ask. He seems to think I might go soon, but if I haven't gone by Monday, he can induce Tuesday, if I want. Not sure what I want to do at this point. Hoping I go on my own by then!

Had to wait for about an hour at my appointment today, which is unusual, but oh well. I did progress a little more since last week, I'm at 2cm and 80% effaced, so she went ahead and stripped my membranes. I really hope that spurs labor soon. Luckily, this weekend is my Dr's on call weekend, so as long as I go into labor by next Friday, my Dr. will be delivering.

@amtellez28 My BP is almost always high on the first check. Creating life is exciting stuff! My appointment next week is in the afternoon so I'm super anxious my BP will be higher than usual.

Well 37 appt went great baby is doing good. I'm glad to know that my blood pressure and my urine looked good, she said I'm just a sweller! I also went from "closed up" to a 1!

Had my appointment this morning... Went to the bathroom when I got there to leave a sample for the nurse and there was some blood in my liner. Figured if it was going to happen, I was glad I was at the dr's and she wasn't concerned about it. Evidently last week and this week my BP has been creeping up and last week there were traces of protein in my urine, but none this week. My dr had me get blood work done right away to double check everything and thankfully it came back fine. She did say she doesn't want me to go past my due date (14th) because of my BP, so unless I have symptoms of pre-e or go into labor naturally, I'll be induced next week. We'll talk about it at my appt on Tuesday. She did say I have the option of being induced this weekend when I'm 39 weeks, but I said no, not unless it's medically necessarily. Plus, my cervix is still pretty far back and I'm not really dilated... Just more thinned out since last week. I told DH that this weekend starts the "get labor started naturally" marathon.

Another uneventful appointment here, too. No internal check but baby has dropped some. Weight up slightly from water retention but no cause for concern, BP is great. Blahblahblah.

U/S with the MFM today. Baby is back on track with growth and is measuring 6# 5oz. She was practicing her breathing and the doc said she has a lot of hair. She can come any day now!

I pretty much had the same exact thing. I'm due June 9 and this baby is pretty cozy inside and not wanting to budge. Ever since my first appt. at 5 weeks the dr said he wouldn't let me go past my due date. I've been only 1 cm dialated since 36 weeks and she's still high so I had to schedule another appointment for next Tuesday (after my due date) for an ultrasound and he will wait to induce me until June 16 if she doesn't come on her own. Grrr. I already told my boss and all co-workers that this week would be my last week. Now I have to go back with my tail between my legs and suck it up for another week. I didn't want to be induced so I'm ok with waiting another week for her to come on her own but I am mentally done with work.

no progress here. 1cm and 30% effaced....has been that way for weeks! Baby is still cooking. I am okay with that, but getting around is becoming increasingly difficult. Like doc said, that doesn't mean you won't go into labor this weekend...LOL. Waiting for labor to begin is the hardest thing for control freaks like me who like to have everything planned!!

@brighteyes112 thank ya ma'am, that was kinda floating in the back of my mind! I was doing a bit of wishful thinking that I would just go ahead and deliver but I seriously doubt it. Going to call the office in the morning and see what they can do; with that many docs, I'm pretty sure they have made arrangements to cover his patients.

Had an appointment with the coordinator at my clinic and got the paperwork done for disability leave. So happy to find out it covers me for 6 weeks after birth and then I can apply for Paid Family Leave for an additional six weeks after!!! So happy I get at least 12 weeks with LO to figure out what comes next!

Weekly appt. with the midwife tomorrow at 37 weeks!

Had a normal check up today and she wasn't moving much in the last 24 hours (significant decrease) so doc did a u/s she had a good heart beat and moved around a little but wasn't showing "breathing movements" so they did an NST. She officially doesn't like that lol and everything went well. Watching contractions was neat, they didn't hurt (BH) but they were pretty constant for a while. 9 days till my due date, hope everything goes well with everyone! Yay life changes!
