AW/N3TR: Things are moving so fast!

This is not really 3T related at all, but I had a mini panic attack this morning, not really in a bad way, but not completely in a good way either. DH and I have been working on this baby thing for years, but just really began cycling this year. DH is in school part time and working part time, and we just put our house on the market last night!! @-)

This morning I get a call from my Realtor saying we already have a showing tonight at 6pm. I was in shock. I didn't think things would move this fast. I know it's just a showing, but we don't even really have a short list of homes we are interested in. Add that to the fact that I'm consistently jacked up on drugs and hormones, and well, mini panic attack. I'm beginning to wonder if I can handle dealing with all this at once.

I'm so sorry! I feel you so much on the amount of pressure there is in all of those things. My DH is also in school (just quit his part time job to study full time), and needs my help all the time since he's a non-native English speaker (and I'm an English teacher, haha!). Wow, I remember that crazy house buying time (and we didn't even have to worry about selling) and that's actually the biggest reason we held off testing and treatments for another half a year...we couldn't imagine doing all those things at once, especially financially.

When I realize that my days are scheduled down to the 10-minute interval, I get the same feeling - can I even handle all this? - and some of those anxiety/heartbeat/dizzy moments for sure. Sometimes I am floored by the way what has to be done somehow gets fit in. I see it as an amazing blessing from a God who sees and cares.

Good luck with the showing tonight! Could you ask your realtor about what measures could be taken to make sure you guys have enough time to have a new house in place? My parents messed up by trusting the good faith of their buyers and ended up with a surprise order to move out in 24 hours or something, which led to 2 months at our grandma's...so I would just like to say, be tough in your contract terms to protect your sanity!!

One thing my DH likes to tell me when things are crazy - isn't it nice to get through all this at once now because then it's over with? Of course, IRL something else always comes up, but to me it's cute when he's optimistic.

I hope you are able to take a few minutes for yourself to do whatever makes you feel at peace with everything.

Thanks for the pep talk @BunnyBerry and @BlueJoan. I definitely know that this is a great opportunity, the fact that we have the ability to cycle and put our house on the market/buy a new house at the same time. But I feel also a bit of fear. Our last house sold within 3 days of being on the market, and we were caught completely unprepared and had to find a new house quick!

Bunny - I agree with your advice to work in time for us to find a new house before settlement.

BlueJoan - thanks for the lucky wishes, I'll need it!! My Realtor says it is a sellers market, because there is not much inventory in our area. We will see.
