Survived my first day back at work. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Partly because M was home with DH, rather than starting daycare. And probably partially because I'm all cried out about it.
I miss this place! Super busy time of year, 700+ emails and catching up on 3 months of stuff cuts into my online time.
Julian screamed for an hour straight tonight from gas pains. Four poops and two rumbling farts later he's finally asleep. I really hope it's not from the ice cream I've been snacking on at night.
@somersisles I'm glad that the doctor figured out the wound situation. It sucks that you're still dealing with the packing though. Make sure you tell the nurse that she's packing 7cm now - you never know if the doctor's office will remember to tell her.
Speaking of MIAs, whatever happened to @legallyginger? I know she's probably studying for the bar, but doesn't everyone need a break from time to time?
@somersisles I'm really sorry you're back at square one. It sounds really awful
I love all the swimming pictures. Is it wrong that my favourite baby/toddler pictures are usually the ones were the kid is freaking out? Way back at the beginning someone posted their pregnancy announcement with the daughter screaming her head off. It was my favourite.
And now I'm totally about to jinx myself, but Layla has been sleeping upstairs at daycare for two hours It's her longest nap since she started there (usually we get ten minutes)
We had to go up in our prefold size from small to medium. Is it wrong if I use the smalls for burp cloths now? I didn't think so but I got side eyed by mh and my older kids.
@SomersIsles I hope this is the final drawback in your wound situation!! I would be at the end of my rope by now! @CHPhotoMama I'm so sad for you that it's gotten to that point. Stay string for Sophie and don't give in to the crazy around you. Just because the frequent crazy has become normal for you doesn't mean it is normal. By the time I get to hit reply I forget all the things and peeps I wanted to mention! Geez!! I've been randomly trying to get LO to daytime in her pnp instead of in my lap or in the swing. It's quite the process. I can't even imagine how putting her down drowsy but awake or transitioning her out of her swaddle is going to be! I really need to go see my boss this week to discuss going back per diem for awhile. I get nauseous just thinking about it. But with my anxiety, I'm just not ready to leave LO.
I'll bet we start trying in March. I can't handle a summer pregnancy.
But is anyone terrified #2 won't be a unicorn baby like #1? I mean, I'm sure I'll love future baby a lot, but it would be nice if it could be as mild mannered as current baby.

YUP that. I cant handle a hot summer pregnancy. I think we will start TTC NEXT june/july. I enjoyed being pregnant for the most part in the winter.
Married : ** 09/09/2011 ** BFP : 07-18-13 ** Baby #1 is a GIRL , Born 03/12/14 **
... Happy Birthday, Anniversary, weight gain, or loss, wound care/healing thoughts to everyone affected by any such events over the past month or upcoming weeks.
Being on the phone is a PITA because it always scrolls to the top and I lose my place. And the iPad formatting sucks lately, so no paragraphs.
As for baby talk... I hope I'm not the first BFP because I'm too old for that sh!t. Lol. That, and I still have 9 months of mat leave, but have to work roughly 5-6 months to qualify for another one...
Also, LO who usually poops 4-6 times a day didn't poop yesterday. At.all.
He just pooped now, and it wasn't so bad. But that means he has lots more coming later...eeeek!!

1. I also want a baby. Really bad decision but i want it. I think my H does too b/c we keep having "accidents."
2. I need you guys to know what a nut I am. I just left work for Will's weekly EI appointment. Half way through he starts crying hysterically, obviously in pain. Guys. He never does this. Ever. Last time he cried like that was before surgery. So I start worrying and freaking out.
I can't get him to stop and he doesn't seem gassy so I start checking him all over. I open his diaper and his testicles are going up and down really dramatically. Not being very experienced in that realm I immediately thought something was wrong and start frantically calling. The pedis office was closed for lunch, my mom doesn't answer and then I call my H. I accidentally called the main line instead of my H's direct line and get the poor hapless 22 year old receptionist. I asked her to have my H call me and then, for some unknown reason decide she needs to know I'm worried about my son's balls.
In a panicked voice: "Just have him call me as soon as he gets off the phone. Something is wrong with my son's balls. I mean testicles. I mean, it's not like I know a lot about infant balls, but I don't think this is right. I'm sorry you don't want t know about testicles . . . I mean balls. I mean, I'm going to go now."
So then my H calls and makes me FaceTime him so he can see for himself. So we are on a video chat watching Will's scrotum.
He then tells me it's 100% normal. And laughs at me.
Yep, I freaked out over gas. He's now pooping in my lap and completely fine.
@babylimas don't worry, I had a penis-induced attack the other day to. A was screaming blue bloody murder so I did the whole strip him down and check him over routine. His penis was purple. I frantically called MH who promptly laughed at me. Since he was screaming he was red faced, and this also means he was purple penised.
Stopped screaming and it returned to normal color.
And then he promptly pooped before I got his diaper back on.
^^Yea, just wait until they start having erections. My GF with a 4 yo says that is really fun when they wake up in the morning and complain that "it just won't go down" and start pushing on it.
Okay, since we are talking penises...
Yesterday, both boys had erections while I changed their poopy diapers. Of course, I had to clean poop off them too.
Kinda weird.
First time I've had to do that since DS1 was born 18 months ago.
Edit: not yesterday, it was the day before. (LO didn't poop yesterday as I stated on another post)
Also all the baby penis talk reminded me of a blog I read that said 'trying to get diarrhea off baby testicles is like trying to get melted butter off an English muffin…' so very true.
Ah, the joys of little boys. DS1 has pulled his pants open so he could examine his penis while sitting in the grocery shopping cart. Thank goodness we were alone in that aisle!
DS1 had an erection and his penis was purple. He kept saying he liked touching it because it tickled. We now have had the conversation that if he wants to touch his penis he needs to do that in his room in private. Sigh.
DS2 has the biggest nutsack. I have been checking for poop by looking in the side of the diaper and had to do a double take before I realized it wasn't poop but his giant testicles I was glimpsing. And as soon as his diaper is off his hands head straight for his penis. It never stops!
A phrase I find myself saying frequently "please stop touching your penis"
Married 11/23/11, TTC starting 10/12, BFP#1 11/30/12, Adoption of stepson finalized 03/19/13,Loss of our daughter at 20w4d due to incompetent cervix 03/27/13, BFP#2 06/28/13, DS2 born 3/1/14.
We were hanging out outside... Lo is always silent and so serious. The moment we get inside she is blabbing away and laughing at herself. I wish she liked to be outside more, I hope the more we go out the more she is used to it.
Also, the gnats were fricken insane!!!!
I bet she's quiet b/c there is so much more stimulation. New things to take in and learn about. It's good for her!

@LoveatCowles oh no! It was all my fault too, but I stopped checking back because I thought it had stopped! ::goes to check::
@Laura8388 Ryker is adorable and looks very pleased to be going to the pool! Did you decide on the one piece or to rock the bikini?
@CaseAndDave i'm jealous i want to go back to school so bad....but i have to take the GRE....ugh i hate tests like those.
@CHPhotoMama t&p's your h gets his act together.
I should have stowed away in her luggage. Let my H have three weeks by himself with mia. I am 100% sure he'd go crazy.
He told me yesterday, "don't het me wrong, i love our daughter. But i don't think i could be home 24/7 with her. I don't know how you do it."
I took that as a complement.
I am already packed and ready for my drink with an umbrella in it!
Era autocorrect hates me

I might join you!
I miss that face so much.
