AFM, I (finally) had my anatomy scan after 5 long weeks between appointments and while all was good it was a little underwhelming. My a/s only took about a half hour and even at that, they weren’t able to check the heart or confirm the sex. However, since I’m scheduled for a fetal echo next week, my doctor didn’t seem too concerned. Also, I thought it was strange that they didn’t try harder to check the sex, but I would be more concerned if I hadn’t had an elective u/s a few weeks ago confirming it was a boy. Finally, I had to ask for them to check my cervical length. I’m honestly not sure when they should start checking it, but I thought at 21 weeks they should at least be getting a baseline measurement? If any other PAIF’ers that are further along in their pregnancy would care to weigh in, please let me know your experience….thanks!!

I know I should be grateful to be considered a “regular” pregnant person, but I also don’t want the fact that I used young donor eggs to be an excuse for not checking certain things that I still might be at risk for, especially given my AMA (well over 40) status.

QOTW: My very first concert was Don Henley and the funny thing is that my friends were actually going to see the opening act (Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians). The last concert I went to was Rod Stewart and I was pleasantly surprised!

We had our therapy session and DH is starting to get a little more open to the idea of DS. We even looked at one of the online DS catalogues, so I consider that progress.

QOTW: My first concert was Madonna on her True Blue tour in Philadelphia at the Vet. (am I dating myself here?) My last concert was Kid Rock last summer.

PAIF RESPONSE

Everything has been uneventful in my world until yesterday when around 10 hours passed without me feeling any movement from baby. I tried everything to no avail and ended up in L&D to be checked out. Baby was fine, but it was quite an ordeal and scare! Glad everything is okay but I think I aged about 10 years in one day because of it!

QOTW: My first concert was the band Live. Remember them from the 90s? I loved them and still do. It was a really fun concert!

I'm shocked to be entering 2nd tri later this week!! For some odd reason, morning sickness has decided to visit me starting at 13 weeks. Running to the bathroom to vomit type of morning sickness... Hoping it isn't going to stay for the rest of time. Nothing else going on as my next appt is 2 weeks away. We started telling friends this weekend..
My first concert was Depeche Mode at age 13. It was amazing and at this theatre on Long Island that is at the beach. As for last concert, I honestly don't know but we are going to see Billy Joel at Fenway Park later this month!

Ok it seems weird even typing that since I don't have my second beta back yet, but I don't want to blindside anyone. My first beta was 641 on Friday. Waiting to hear about 2nd beta this afternoon. Nervous. I am having lot's of symptoms so i guess that is a good sign. Waiting a while to move over to PAIF board.

I'm feeling anxious waiting for the next couple of weeks to get here - I can only imagine how the TWW feels. I should be going in for a pre-Chlomid ultrasound a week from today if my cycle starts on schedule. Then, wait for the big day!

My first concert was New Kids on the Block! Last concert was Zac Brown Band just last Saturday...they are so amazing! Took my DH to his first country concert and ZBB did not disappoint!

Check in: Our carrier was experiencing some cramping/round ligament pain so she went in for a freebie u/s on Friday evening (she knows an OB nurse). Our little one is looking perfect - they could count 10 fingers and 10 toes, see the spine, and everything. They took a bunch of pictures for us and I am very excited to get them in the mail...they even apparently got one of our LO sucking it's thumb. So excited! I still can't believe that this is happening. I guess it's finally time to start actually thinking about the future and doing some planning/preparation. For so long it was just getting through to the next appointment and not thinking any further than that. I can finally breathe semi-easy now, I think. And I have a feeling time is going to go by super quickly.

QOTW: Alanis Morisette was my first concert. It was awesome.

PAIF Check-in: All is going really well with me and my LOs. I have a growth scan with the MFM tomorrow and can't wait to see how much they have grown. Their kicks and movements are packing more of a punch these days so I'm hoping they're both growing really well. (Plus, my weight gain seems to be picking up and I hope it's the babies and not just me! lol) My carpal tunnel is getting worse, but thankfully I only have 7-9 more weeks to deal with it! All the aches and pains will be totally worth it!!

QOTW: I can't remember my first or last concert, but I haven't been to very many. Large crowds make me anxious so I don't particularly enjoy concerts. L-)

We are going to cycle in July again with the protocol that has been successful previously. FX!

We had a GREAT appointment this morning with our GC. Squirt's HB was found right away this time with the doppler. HR of 156 bpm. A/S is on July 1. We met the OB for the first time (it was the NP previously) and he didn't bat an eyelash about the GC situation. He apparently delivered one last week for a couple in Argentina. It made me feel calmer about delivering in the hospital. Our GC asked if I felt like the appointment was anti- climactic because it was so boring. I assured her we want nothing but boring!

QOTW: Be ready to ridicule, my first concert was New Kids on the Block. I was eleven and it couldn't have been more perfect!

Hi everyone!
So much going on these past couple weeks and loads of people with calendars!! @BeckyP005, everything crossed for you that this FET is the magic transfer!!

I haven't checked in myself in a couple weeks (lame!) but all up, things are in pretty good shape. I'm 29w on Wednesday. I think I mentioned I got gestational diabetes (thanks @liz4paws for being my GD buddy, though I'd rather neither of us had to deal with it!) - so last week I went in for a fluid check and things were normal! They'll measure the baby again (was was packing it on in the 90th percentile when I was diagnosed) on June 19th. So hopefully she's a big 'right-sized.' I still have only gained 3 pounds since BFP - lost 2 last week actually, it was 5. We also got a surprise 3D ultrasound pic of her face! I'm sharing it here because it was so amazing/overwhelming. I don't want to hurt anyone so I put a warning up. It's attached if you want to look. She has her right arm bent and her hand alongside her ear...like she's doing the 'sprinkler' dance!

Otherwise, I had kidney stone attack week before last and spent the night in the high risk L&D ward. Thankfully I passed the stone and avoided surgery! But that was a rough night, and baby had her first narcotic binge

- still, happy she was fine all along and doctors were never worried about her. Plus, I had a good experience there and am more confident having our baby there now.

Outside of all that - I'm doing fine. Plugging away and can't believe EDD is only 11 more weeks.

QOTW: I saw Def Leppard the day before starting 7th grade. It was awesome. Pyromania tour. Last show was Jeff Tweedy (lead singer of Wilco) and we LOVE that it was baby's first (in utero show)!!

Not much to update. I have an appointment tomorrow with my local RE about a possible treatment option that just came up. Other than that I am just waiting for August 27th and my appointment with Dr. KK and my follow up on October 3rd. If we do end up cycling with our local clinic, our next cycle will be November/December at the earliest.

Honestly I am in a crappy mood today, I think the 5-6 month break is just htting me. It just hard to realize that the earliest we will have a baby is still over a year away. Hopefully my appointment tomorrow will help.

QOTW: My first concert was Wallflowers and Counting Crows. The last concert I went to was the NKOTB reunion tour a few years ago.

Scheduled a phone consult with RBA to discuss frozen options. When my records arrive, I will send them to SG to get a phone consult there for a fresh shared cycle. Moving forward, but slowly. My heart just hasn't succumbed completely yet. My first concert was REO Speedwagon! My latest one was Kid Rock (who is sooo much fun in concert!)

Update: My lap confirmed I have mild endo. My follow-up is 5/9, we will be talking about our next steps. I hope we are able to cycle, the biggest hurdle is our finances. FX I'm able to figure out the financing and we get KTFU before the end of the year!!

Hey all! Look at all the good news all around!

I started my injections this week and had an ultrasound today--lots of follies, but still too small to start the next shots. I am being kept on the higher dose longer than last time--I guess every cycle is different! I got a note from my IP's, too, the details of which I'll keep private. The doctor today was my IM's doctor too, and had nice (but vague, of course) things to say about her. I just hope everything goes well and she gets her BFP.

I am feeling more firmly that this will be my last donation. It has been very important to me, but I feel like my life is moving to a different phase. Besides, it's getting harder to get away from work!

Believe it or not, I have never been to a concert. Not one!

My heart goes out to you.

It is wonderful to see all the good news around here! Pardon the generic congrats, but there are so many!

My Update: we have decided to move onto DEgg and picked our clinic! The only thing is that we can't afford to do it right this second, but we should be able to get our finances in order to do a cycle in October. We will start looking at profiles in July... I'm starting to get really excited about this! In the meantime, we are doing a few IUIs (it's a long shot, but it's covered by insurance, so why not). We're also on the schedule with Dr. KK (reproductive immunologist) in August/September.

Next Steps: I have monitoring for my IUI tomorrow. We will start looking at DEgg profiles in July. We may see Dr. KK in August/September. We will hopefully do our DEgg cycle in October.

I'm Feeling: I'm over these IUIs. I know they won't work, but at the same time I wouldn't turn down a miracle! I am getting excited to look at DEgg profiles soon

I have mixed feelings about seeing Dr. KK.

QOTW: My first 'rock' concert was Dave Matthews Band. The last concert I went to... yeesh, I can't even remember! I'm dying to go to a Mumford & Sons concert.

A little late to the party! Been super busy!!:) lol ok so I got my offical calendar for the upcoming FET. Start BCP in July... And begin lupron and estradiol mid aug for a sept 11th transfer. Ordered lupron and gotta save save save for my intralipid infusion and rest of my meds. Nice thing is I still have a full bottle of estradiol and crinone so only have to get some doxy and PIO. I'm sure the next few months will fly by.

Things are going great and looking good. Im in the last week of my maternity leave and go back to work tue as log as my new nanny passes her fingerprints! She will be with us all summer till she has to go back to school. I like her a lot but did install a nanny cam in the living room. It's pretty awesome I Can look and see what's going on while at work!! Don't worry I told her and she's ok with it!! New crazy momma here! Lol
