Holy constipation already?

Anyone else? I have IBS normally but I have been in a "loose" phase for months now until this week. I
know colace is safe but I normally take Miralax to relieve bigger problems. Normally I often need
a Fleets to solve serious problems. Not being able to take these meds is gonna be so hard including not having coffee to help move things along. Time to beef up the fiber! Any tasty suggestions?

  • yeah i just learned my beloved "antifreeze" (miralax) is category C.  BOO.  i'm going to switch over to colace.  lots of water and extra fiber are helpful too.

    I'm eat a breakfast shake in the morning and the fiber makes sure things keep moving.

  • I had the same issue, but figured out if I drank more water it helped. :/

    Yep, here too. I've been eating Raisin Bran, and that has been doing the trick, but will also use Colace if needed.

    Guzzling prune juice, eating fiber gummies, upping my water, and eating a ton of strawberries and still... nothing...

    PCOS--TTC since 11/2010:   
    5 cycles of Clomid: all BFN, 1 cycle of Follistim:CP
    1 year break thanks to deployment.
    1 cycle Follistim: BFN, Lap to remove peritubal cyst May 2013

  • I've mentioned this before, but try Smooth Move tea (found it at Target). It worked wonders for me. You can also try just a cup of hot water with lemon. Good luck! I know how much it sucks.
  • Apples all the way if it just needs to get out.
  • I've got the same problem from the start and i too have IBS. Chillies which would normaly trigger a flare up have help me some days but drinking plenty of water helps.
  • Oh yes i did drink prune juice at first warmed but just looking at the bottle makes mt queasy now.
  • I have found eating a kiwi fruit or two a most days is helping. Plus extra water. They have natural laxative properties to keep you a little more regular.
