So today I took T to the paediatrician because she has had a very stinky vag for about a month, and it was worrying us. I was dreading the visit, because I can't say vagina with a straight face. And it was a weird thing to visit the dr for. But it's really bad, and she's been screaming at bath time and not letting us put her in the bath. Diaper rash cream hasn't helped.
Anyway, he was very kind and gentle, and said to treat it as a fungal infection for the next few days. If it doesn't clear up, he'll prescribe something for a bacterial infection.
He also found a sore throat and swollen glands (may explain her misery last night). And then we watched T rearrange the furniture in his rooms.
Whew.
(BTW, what do you do? We normally take her to the GP (family dr) when she's sick, but for things like this, I prefer the paediatrican. But he charges about double what the normal dr charges. Just curious.)
