Similac question

I just made my baby a bottle of Similac Advance for the first time and I noticed some little yellow pieces in the bottom of the bottle even after shaking well. I made another bottle and the same thing happened. Is this normal?

Re: Similac question

  • I haven't ever noticed little yellow pieces in mine ...  huh ...

  • I notice those if I don't shake it immediately after putting the formula in, or if I don't shake hard enough.

same here. If i dont shake it right away then I get those

  • It's the formula! All it is is the unshaken powder that clumped and settled. NO BIGGIE! Just shake it up more. Also, it's not just Similac, Enfamil does it too. Don't be concerned, the formula is fine.

  • What bottles are you using? Sometimes when I shake it in the Playtex Drop Ins bottles I get this on the bottom. Use your fingers and press the plastic liner to desolve the peices on the bottom or shake it in a hard container and then transfer to liners. If you use another type of bottle I am not sure what will help...sorry!
