  • DS is having full blown tantrums and I have no idea what to do about it. If I take away something he shouldn't have or if I redirect him at all, he throws his head back and screams and cries. It's so frustrating.

L is doing the same thing here too! The worst is when he is freaking out, and all that will calm his down is his paci, but because he is so worked up and mad, he flails around and pushes it away. I don't know what to do for him!

This is bentley too. He gets really mad that i wont let him lick the outlits.

Let me start my bitch by saying. I love my school, i love my educators i love the girls i go to school with. What i dont love getting to school and having open books but the girls who never show up on floor days are full booked and knowing im going to wind up with their appointments anyways. Fucking really? These girls arent even supposed to he taking clients until they can show up for ten consecutive days. Yes, im going yo bitch about this because i want clients thats why im at school.

Also ds had night terrors all night, im exhausted, my uti wont go away, and im pissed becausr ds needs a new car seat but i didnt get to target last week during their sale on car seats. I feel stupid for not just going after school.

  • Stupid ILs....We were with H's family this weekend and his cousin was showing off a picture of her 3yr old in the crib with her 5 wk old son. When they asked why, she said "I was trying to let LO cry it out on his crib and I noticed that he stopped--went in to check on him and found BB laying with him. When I asked BB what he was doing he said "calming my brother down"."

Naturally I piped up with "Um, excuse me? Did you just say you were letting your 5 wk old CIO?!" And she told me she was because her newborn kept having these times at night when all he would do was cry, and she was just too tired and he needed to sleep. (BTW did any of you know that BABIES CRY and they aren't supposed to????? MIND BLOWN!)

My ILs immediately put L in my arms and ushered me away, seeing how furious I was. They told me it's not worth saying anything because she is family and they don't want me to cause a problem for them. Um what about that poor baby being abandoned to CIO? I really wanted to tell her that even her 3 yr old sees him crying alone as a problem and at least he goes in to soothe him.

Wow. Yeah my BFF did baby wise with her daughter and she was working with some high-priced sleep consultant who *recommended* CIO when her baby was 6 weeks old. She was only taking 30 minute naps and the schedule required her to take hour-long naps. So she told her to let the baby cry for the last half-hour. I couldn't believe it but my friend did it because she thought this woman was a total baby guru. Ugh, I tried to say something but I didn't want to get all preachy so I just let her do what she thought. People are gonna raise their babies the way they want. Not much you can do.
  • @mwalker710 That's heartbreaking to me. But like @janneann1127 said, people are going to raise their children the way that they want to. Ugh.

  • I'm so damn tired. And LO wakes up right when I finally wind down enough to sleep. Then DH and his piece of shit alarm goes off 20 times. I worked all night- cut this mama a break!!
  • I'm in a crafty mood. Too bad we're broke and the house needs cleaning. Boo!

  • I am sick of being sick. My throat is sore and full of all sorts of phlem crap (did I spell that right?!) and LO is sick on top of everything. I just want us to feel better!

@mwalker710 I am sorry, I would have lost it right along with you.

    @Cosmic+Love DO IT! :)

  • LO was sleeping through the night for a week straight. Just when we were getting used to that, he stops. Now he's up and SCREAMING several times a night.

On top of that, my SIL is staying with us for two weeks and her room is right next to his room, so we don't have many options for sleep training at the moment. Last night I maybe got 2 hours of total sleep.

  • I'm so fucking annoyed with my cats. One pissed on the counter and the other chews anything and everything in site. Why can't I have normal pets that don't destroy everything I own? UGH

  • This bratty toddler pushed my LO over twice at daycare last week. It kind of makes me want to push her mother over every time I see her. ;)

I know it sucks to see anyone being mean to your LO, but I would guess his/her mother feels terrible about it too. I only say this because my older one went through a phase where he knocked kids over. I can't even tell you how embarrassing it was. He stopped doing it after a month or two, but I promise you, your kid will go through a phase where he does ridiculous things that make you feel like a terrible parent. Toddlers be toddlers.

And for you ladies suffering from sleep issues...It will pass....LO has FINALLY decided sleep is awesome again after almost 2 months of thinking it was the devil

  • @HauntedRadio We do the jars things like on Till Debt Do Us Part.... I added up the total we make for the month, subtracted our bills and then looked at what we had left... that amount gets divided into 4 and that is our weekly budget, which we divide into things like groceries, gas, etc.

I treat savings like a bill so that it automatically comes off. However you have to be extremely strict with yourself for this to work. We are not always so good at it lol but it helps when we take out the cash and freeze our cards (put them in the freezer haha). We have to do it week by week as well or we spend all the money too fast.

Anyways it works really well when we are firm with ourselves and dont use the bank card.

  • I quit nursing DS2 about 3 months ago so I had a really good run, but my first pp period came today. So I'm a little crabby. And relieved. I was POAS like crazy for a while.
     DS1 8/2011. DS2 8/2013.

  • @HauntedRadio‌ we are having the same trouble. I'm sorry. It's rough!!
  • DH has to open and close everyday this week since his manager is on vacation - so he's the boss this week.  Great for him but sucks because he won't be able to help me with the morning routine all week.  Pre-baby I already had a hard time getting to work on time... imagine now!

Oh, you're so right. I told DH that Wes will be the one pushing little kids soon, so it's really nothing to get upset about. :)

(Sidenote: this girl's mom is always kind of snobby to me. So I already don't care for her too much. Haha.)

Ha! Ok well in that case, push away! :)
