Updated: good news ladies! Once at the hospital the monitored my BP every 15 mins and every reading was great if not running low. Which is awesome! They said the walgreens cuff may have been to small which can cause a higher reading. I am however upset with the doctor there. She basically came in and said "swelling is normal. Don't bother checking your BP ever because it causes worry." Uhm lady. I was recognizing signs of something that could be serious. Redness and sudden swelling was weird to me and the headache. Why wouldn't I just check? Ugh and she didn't even look at my legs for the swelling or redness. I was upset. I'm thrilled the BP was good andhas ccontinued to be...but Im upset with the service I recieved. Thanks so much for all the thoughts ladies! I know i did the right thing despite what she may have acted like. And i encourage everyone thst if they feel like checking thinhd out they should! August rocks!!!!
So glad that it sounds like everything is cleaning down! But I agree that swelling within reason is normal, but when coupled with high bp and headache deserves more than a total brush off!
Here's to going that Dr wont be on call when you go into labor.
I'm relieved things are fine! So mad at that doctor though. You did the right thing coming in to have everything checked out. I hope you continue to feel better & the headaches stop!
Glad everything turned out okay, but how annoying of the doctor. That's the last thing you need to hear when you are being cautious. Not only were you being aware of you symptoms, but your doctor wasn't comfortable and told you to go in. That's ridiculous for the oncall to say just don't check your B/P. Hope it says down for the rest of the pregnancy.
