Toddlers: 24 Months+

I hit a big milestone.

I have always been so worried about DD choking. Just a big fear of mine. So I always cut up her good into small pcs. She has never just held something on her own and ate it without being cut. But the past week we have given her a pretzel stick, crackers, and toast, all whole. This is a huge huge step for me. lol.

  • You're a very brave woman, lol.  I still cut up things for Parker.  I'm one of those paranoid mommies, haha.

  • LOL!!  I hit that milestone a few weeks ago.  It's still a tough one for me and I find myself reverting back to my old ways a lot.

Haha me too. I rarely do it bc I am still scared but  more relaxed about it when DH is home for some reason.

  • Good for you!  In our home, it's DH who is choke-phobic.  He's even scared when I start to choke or cough while I'm eating!  lol.

Our DS forced us to reach this milestone, because he would either get mad or not eat whatever we cut up and wanted everything whole.  Mr. Big Stuff always thinks he's grown already!

  • If try and break something in half and give it to my DS then he gets mad and won't take it because he wants the whole thing.
