  taiwan is very popular for dash cams, too. probably once a week, taiwanese news has some great videos of douche canoes thinking they own the road. it's been a great tool for them to catch those guys when they're seen doing something illegal (i.e. pointing a gun to get let in!! omg).

  Apparently, one of the reasons that dash cams are so popular in Russia is because the police are so corrupt. If you don't have one they will accuse you of anything and everything and demand bribes so you aren't charged with things you never did. They aren't just to protect you from what appear to be the worst drivers on the planet.
  
  Also dh loves dash cam videos. I cam home to him watching them on the tablet one day while he was making dinner. All I could hear as I was walking towards the kitchen was him yelling "Oh! Ooh! Ooooohh! Oh no!" and laughing like a madman.
