Am I crazy? PIP

I was NOT planning on buying any summer maternity I didn't really need any with DD until 5-6months but this bump/blump is ridiculous. I'm not even 7 weeks how is it possible to be this big? I haven't gained any weight. Anyone else wanna pip bump/blump. I really hope I'm not the only one this big already. I'm starting to wonder if there is more than one or if I'm not a Jan15 momma after all. :/ This was a surprise and I haven't had an ultrasound so I don't have a solid due date yet. Am I crazy in thinking this is a ridiculous size for 6ish weeks?!

Do you have a before pic to compare? I honestly look completely normal all day but then after dinner if I don't feel like holding it all together, I can easily look pregnant. But its just because I'm so full from food and water throughout the day and don't feel like sucking it in 24/7...and constipation doesn't help.

  • This is #3 for me ( I'm 8 weeks along), and I broke out the maternity shorts yesterday. :\">
Both of my boys were Aug babies, so I have a bunch of summer maternity clothes, and I just couldn't wait any longer! Ahhhh relief!
    You are definitely not alone!
  • You have another baby, right? Because if that is the case, I would say totally normal. The bloat baby is huge, and gets worse with each pregnancy.

    I Look the Same way

  • I have severe bloating thanks to a case of ovarian hyperstimulation, so I've been looking about 4-5 months pregnant since 4 weeks! Yikes! I even got on the elevator at the hospital and a lady on the elevator automatically knew I was headed to the obgyn floor. Flowy sundresses are my life right now.

  • I have a belly regardless - but it's definitely getting more uncomfortable to suck it in. I already have the maternity shorts. No shame.
  • Well at least im not alone. I know everyone has been talking of their blump but I was not picturing this big! Yes this is baby #2 dd is 9 months.

@YaMrWhite‌ the two in workout gear are from the end of march. The other one is from 5 months (ish) with Dr in the same shirt

  • Comparing your pics, the same thing happens to me (as I said in my response) throughout the course of the day but it only lasts for a little while after dinner and then subsides thankfully so that is why I say I don't have a blump/bloat bump/flump/whatever the heck everyone is calling it lol. Do whatever makes you comfortable. If maternity clothes are it, go for it. I work out after dinner anyway so when I am bloated for a little bit, I am in running shorts and a baggy shirt :) I know not everyone has that luxury! This post has however gotten me excited for HDBD!

  • Hmmm I really have nothing, sometimes after dinner I have a little something. My DD is also older so maybe that has something to do with it? I have heard you can show sooner with your second! Who knows!!
  • UberBizUberBiz member
I'm humongous already. I feel your pain. No way I am going to keep this hidden for much longer. Mind you, I am not sucking it in at all in this picture, I THINK if I work hard at sucking it in, it's not very noticeable.

I just looked up a pic of myself that I took at 19 weeks with DD and I can't wait to compare myself to it with this pregnancy. I doubt I will show sooner as I am much healthier this time around but, like you said, who knows!!

  • @yamrwhite Its there all the time, that pic was taken this morning before eating anything. I feel a little better though knowing you have it too! I know you work out a lot! I run with a run group here called stroller  warriors 2-3 times a week. I walk 5-6 miles the other days and I usually do a speed run/or endurance run on saturdays by myself so this "bloat" just REALLY caught me offguard

Yea it can do that sometimes lol. I didn't notice mine until about 2 nights ago. I was lifting weights in the basement and caught a glimpse in the mirror and in between sets I wasn't concentrating on sucking in and was taken aback. I showed my husband and he said "huh!" lol. It usually subsides after I shower though. I'm sorry yours is sticking around :( It can make these early weeks/months hard clothing wise.

  • i have constant bloat that makes me look like i'm further along than i am.  it's just bigger or smaller depending on the time of day or when i last ate (or WHAT i ate).  i could also stand to lose about 30lb and i'm otherwise out of shape, so that doesn't help.  i don't take pictures weekly...i did a "baseline" at 4w and plan to do them every 4w throughout, so i don't have a current pic.  i have busted out the maternity wear and cotton knit dresses/skirts though, because i can't stand to have any kind if pressure on my belly right now.  i had to buy maternity shorts though...DS was born in march (due in april), so i wasn't needing maternity wear with him until the hot weather had already passed.

  • I have horrible bloat and I'm more comfortable in loose fitting clothes ie summer Sun dresses. Lol. I'm only 4w4d. My last pregnancy was 13 years ago. I'm sure my body can't remember THAT far back. Lol.

  • I don't have a kid, this is my first. But combined with my previous little bump of fat, the bloat is making me look bigger. And I just don't care enough to suck it in! I look forward to the day when it's a noticeable bump though and doesn't look like I ate way too many donuts or something

  • Yay! So glad to know I'm not alone. Some IRL have implied that I'm some sort of freak for being so big so soon, especially since it's my first. I am in full maternity clothes and don't see that changing. I put this in my other post, but I'll add my pic here for comparison purposes. Left photo is from 2 weeks ago, right photo is from this weekend.

  • Sorry for the weird angle:/ between bloat & what's left over from ds I'm fully back in my maternity clothes. I wake up with it looking like this.

  • @hamlett17 that photo cracked me up. Thanks to my big boobies I haven't seen my feet since I was 13. The fact that there's now a belly sticking farther out than my boobs is funny to me.

I just lost 30 lbs too. So close to goal weight! But being lighter, we'll see if I show sooner. This being my 3rd and all. Showed at 10 wk with #1, 8 wk with #2, and now at 5w5d I'm only noticing the bloat when I have alot of water in me.

Ask away @Ktbug613‌! Pre-preg, I'm a 36G. I'm overflowing a teeny bit now. I went to a local store called Livi Rae that specializes in hard to fit women. The lady took one look at me topless and immediately said I was a G, and she was right. She sold me two Wacoal bras for $60 each. Now that I know what size I am I can order online for less.

ETA: as for Mat clothes, I've gotten Walmart and Old Navy clothes. I've gotten XL size in my Walmart tops, and there is no way they will fit me later in pregnancy. I have no idea what I will do!

Sorry, off topic but I had to ask!
  • I'm so glad to see this. My bloat is insane! I literally looked 6 months today I had to wear a dress Tshirt as a shirt to cover it!!! I thought I was alone!

Yes, they are amazing. There's almost always a wait to get fitted at their store. I didn't know what to expect. I took my shirt off and faced the mirror. The lady popped my bra off before I could even react, peeked at my boobs and said "36G. What is this you're wearing, a 38DD? No way." And she was totally right. The first bras she brought in were in the $80-$100 range, so I asked for bras that were $50-$60 and she complied. I've never had such supportive bras with no padding or digging straps. They're great.

  • @NatureLovers‌ I'm super jealous you live near livi rae! We are in the same ball park. I'm a G right now but that's After having 5 lbs removed I was a J/k cup after giving birth to DD. Finding maternity clothes that are nice and fit sucks let me know if you find anything good! The first two expensive bras she brought in do you remember the brands? I might know where you can get them cheaper
