I just wanted to know who else's is waiting for their first sono appt? 

My first OB appt is Nov 21

    I have an elective ultrasound scheduled for Friday, but my first MW appointment isn't for a few weeks.

    My first u/s is Wednesday. It was supposed to be last Tuesday and got rescheduled so I have been pretty anxious. Can't wait for tomorrow to get here, so then all I have to do is wake up and hopefully see a healthy baby.

    I don't have my first appt until the 16th, and there won't be an U/S. First U/S won't be til 12 weeks around Dec. 11...so far away!

    I may have one tomorrow. I have a friend who is an OB that is working tomorrow and offered to give me one. It depends in her schedule. I figure I am at a good point so I will be able to see something. I'm a little nervous too...

    My first appointment is November 19th (9 weeks) and ultrasound is November 26th 10 weeks). I want to ask them to move my ultrasound back a week or so though so that I'll be 11 weeks. My OB likes your first appointment to be at 8 weeks but I'll be out of the state so she's seeing me a week later.

    My 1st appt is November 15 and they usually do an ultrasound at that appointment especially because I am not sure when my AF was last.

    I go in on Friday to schedule the u/s.  I'm not sure yet if I'll stick with the OB group long enough to actually get it though or if we'll be moved to the other midwife yet.

    I completely understand! Mine is the 25th!  By the time I know that there is really a heartbeat in there, I could have given birth to an  armadillo.

    I thought for sure everyone else already had their appointments! Glad to see its normal to be 9 weeks and not have one yet. I've had an u/s but haven't gotten to see or hear anything yet. I scheduled an appointment with a new general doctor on Thursday gonna try and go the hmo routeinstead of my ppo which was a headache so I can get referred to an obgyn but I can't even schedule the ob appointment till they get the referral five days later. It's so frustrating because I know there is a baby in there but I don't know yet if its a normal one. For all I know I could be harboring Alien in my uterus. Sigh...anyone else having insurance drama?

    Hey- we have the same EDD!

    Mine is Wednesday. I can't wait to see the heartbeat because I'm dying to tell someone!

    I don't know. My OBGYN just doesn't do them before 18-20 weeks. I haven't actually seen them yet but when I called to make the appointment I asked and that's what they said. :-/

    I'm with you! Mine's Friday the 30th and it feels like it will NEVER come! The good news (or potentially bad news if it doesn't go well...) is that my birthday is the following day. :-)

    Since my first appointment isn't until Nov 28, I totally took advantage of my irregular periods and asked for a dating ultrasound (which I finally had today). If I didn't "need" a dating u/s, I wouldn't get one until 20 weeks.

    My first appointment with the doctor will not be until early December, sometime between 10-12 weeks. I will be shocked if they do a dating ultrasound because they typically dont do one until 20 weeks. I do have an intake appointment with a nurse next Tuesday. I will schedule my first appointment with the OB at that time.

    I have my first finally tomorrow morning with my REs office.  This will confirm a heartbeat and confirm how many babies.  We put in two blasts so tomorrow will tell us how many took if any.  It's tough; since I'm on progesterone supplements my body wouldn't miscarry even if I lost the baby most likely 'till I stopped the supplement.  I'm having such a hard time waiting!

    I had my first appointment already, but I don't get my first ultrasound until my 3rd appointment at 12 weeks (Dec 4th!).

    My first OB appointment is November 20 at 9 weeks, and then at my 12 week appointment is when they do a doppler to see the heartbeat.

    I think my doctor is similar to yours since I was told I won't receive an ultrasound until sometime in the second trimester.  I'm not sure of the reasoning, just that there was no medical need for one in the first trimester provided you had a "normal" history and no previous complications.

    The waiting is killing me!

    I already had my first appointment but still waiting on the u/s to see my little one. My appointment is not until Black Friday Nov. 23rd!! I will be 12 weeks by then so at least I will see an actual little human and not just a blob lol

    My first u/s is November 15 and it can't come soon enough!! I am so anxious!
