I really love my k'tan, and I bought it after it was recommended on the bump by so many of you. It only took me a few times to get really good at putting DS in it and making the carrier comfortable for me to wear. I can (and do!) put it on in the parking lot all of the time now.
Last night I purchased a ring sling from a seller on etsy. I'm looking forward to receiving it later next week. I didn't have a carrier with my oldest, and I regret it, because these things are awesome!
Does anyone have the cheaper infantino from walmart? Looking for a second one that daddy can wear and this one is like $20! Probably awful, but maybe ok for a second option?
I've actually heard good things about those. My only reservation about them is I don't know how comfortable they'd be with a bigger baby or toddler, but for that price that's probably nbd.
Mama to a little girl born July 2011 and a little boy born April 2014!

Cool thanks! I am going to give it a try, will report back!
I have a lillebaby complete for rainy days because I live in oregon, and the complete air which I bought used for hot days which is awesome. They have no infant insert required, can nurse in it, and the air has awesome airflow
I have a moby go carrier (their version of the ergo carrier) that I can't use til she is 15lbs. I'm tempted to order the ktan for a plane trip next month but am hesitant due to bra size.. How does that carrier work for those with larger chests? I don't want to smother!

Never heard of these but they sound awesome! Running to Google I am becoming a baby carrier addict! Thanks also to whoever posted about babywearing international, maybe @pineconey ? We have a local chapter and their Facebook group has been amazingly helpful already.
it does everything the new ergo does, but doesnt require inserts. it comes with lumbar support. We were at the (pretty hilly) zoo for 5 hours on sunday. I wore him for about 3 hours, and when I took him off to nurse we switched. No complaints

I'm 5ft0 and a 38dd and got a medium. She's perfectly comfortable in it and so am I!
I love love LOVE my Beco Gemini! It is easy and convenient to use and is super comfy. DS is comfortable in it and it works best for us. Had the Ergo and just didn't care for it.
I have a Ergo performance and a K'Tan breeze. I love love love the Ergo, it's so easy to use and it's really breathable ( I live in oklahoma and the summers get nasty hot ) I just recently got the K'Tan... I can't get into it. I I just feel like I am smothering him, everyone loves them so I hope I can get the hang of it. But personally I would get a Ergo, pricey yes.But they seem to last awhile.
Has anyone heard of the Peanut Shell brand of slings? My aunt bought me one when she heard I wanted to babywear, but I'm not sure it's safe. The fabric just rests on your shoulder, no wrapping around you for support. I'm scared to try it, but also don't want to hurt her feelings by not using it. :-?
I have a Peanut Shell and we really like it! I used it this weekend, she passed out while walking through stores and even at home and I have two hands again. Win. Win.
Oh man.. I'm a babywearing/carrier addict. We currently own- a mobywrap that DH uses, a Rockin Baby ring sling in heavy canvas that I wear for cool weather and indoors, 3 diy ring slings made from lightweight scarves that I wear when I'm out in the heat, a non-adjustable pouch sling for when I can do a hip carry, 2 ergos, a diy wrap that I use for church, and 2 mei teis.
My favorites? The ring sling for a tummy-tummy carry until he can sit up, then the pouch sling(hot slings style) for a hip carry, then back to the ring sling for a modified back carry in the toddler age. The mei tei is good for wearing if I'm going to sit a lot.
Mine is a small and it feels super right! In 5'6 and just over 140 lbs since the LO arrived and it feels so tight! She's small too just 8 lbs. I wouldn't get it again bit others on here love it!

How soon did your LO use the Beco Gemini? Mine is 13 lbs, 23 in and it still feels too big for him width-wise.
