D sat all by herself last week, but today all she does is sit. My biggest problem is that she still launches herself backwards. For right now Im trying to throw a boppy around her once she sits. I was just wondering are the other sitters still falling backwards. Does it get better? I'm scared to even go to the bathroom.

Re: Sitting on their own?
Faceplants seem scary but unless they fall on something sharp or really hard, it won't hurt them. I try not to overreact to it when they do it because they just pick up on my anxiety and get upset. If I act like its nbd and just help them up, they get over it pretty quickly.

My baby used to throw himself backwards, so I would set him up with the boppy, and a stuffed animal behind to cushion his little head. He doesn't do that anymore, it does get better. Now he mostly goes forward to try to crawl. Lately I'm more worried about a forward face-plant
