double stroller question

I'm looking on craigslist for a double stroller--I just started a nanny job a couple of weeks ago (7 month old girl) and want to be able to go out to the mall, park, etc. and need a stroller. Those of you with experience with these, which do you prefer: the side by side, or the one with a seat in front/back?

I would ask on the multiples board, you might get more results.

I have both,  a phil and ted and two side by sides, a chariot, and a mountain buggy urban.  They both have their place, but for serious walking, I would do a side by side.  If you are mostly shopping, like in a mall, an in-line.  You can use a side by side in a mall, but for real walking a side by side is much easier.

I agree each has its place. Think about how you will use it. I have  front/back, because I take the double stroller in places that tend to be more narrow and the side by side seem like they would be too wide  For example, I live within walking distance to the grocery, so I walk there, and grocery shop from my stroller instead of a grocery cart.  The front/back works really well in the grocery aisles without blocking other people getting by with with their carts.
