I bought DS a Rufflebutts button up white collared shirt for his 18 month pictures. Dear God what was I thinking? A shirt that small that I had to iron. So.much.work. Thankfully it looked presentable and the photog could edit the lines out. GL!

Don't do it the first time on your own. You will most likely turn it into a complete nightmare. Bleached hair has to be filled first and THEN dyed the color you want. Go somewhere professional for the first time, then do it at home after the fact. If you put brown dye over your platinum hair, you will turn your hair orange. It will make you very, very sad.

Its not platinum at all anymore. The last time I had any bleach put in it was November. and it has grown significantly since then. I thought about that after I posted, if it wouldn't be better to do the first go round with a salon and then do it on my own.... Blah, I hate grooming these days because I simply DO NOT have time to do it.

Yeah, it'd probably be good to get the salon to bring you to the color you want, then you can maintain it on your own.

Guys, I'm gonna cry. My house is a fucking disaster. I only got to do minimal cleaning last weekend because I had the kids and DH was doing the yard. I didn't do any cleaning the weekend before because I wanted off for Mother's Day. We have not heard a peep about the house in weeks.

Of course, today, we get a call that someone wants to see the house tomorrow morning. We are going away for the weekend and I have to work late and now I have to go home and try to clean the house and make sure it's nice when we walk out the door at 5 a.m. tomorrow. DH was so not helpful last time and I know he won't be this time. Waaahhh

I talk a tough game, but I am a total wimp sometimes. I went to the nail salon at lunch and decided to get my eyebrows done while I was there. I explicitly told the woman that I only wanted them cleaned up bc I don't like them thin and they took a long time to grow in to how I wanted them. The bitch completely changed the shape and thinned them way out. Thank God I have bangs! I was pissed but couldn't bring myself to cut her tip. :-O

I iron everything, except my underwear. I'm not being sarcastic. Oh, also I don't iron my camisole tank tops...unless they call for it.

I also iron my sheets and pillow cases before I make the beds.

My former friend's Mom ironed everything too including bedding. I never knew anyone else who did that...I'm glad you posted this in FFFC.

My old BFF had her baby today. In the last 8mo I've had friends or family that have named their babies: Clinton, Reagan, Nixon, Lincoln & Kennedy.

I feel like to be cool we should name our new baby Washington or Eisenhower....

@CheeseandRice, I feel like I should invent some sort of table that directly connects to the ironing board. If I could have a little table set up with smoked Gouda and a Riesling I could stand....no, lets drop the height of the board a little...I could sit and iron all day long. I realize I could just put my ironing board next to a table and get the same effect, but I think this way sounds/looks so much cooler.

@MarisaKathleen, it's so relaxing for me. It means I'm not doing anything else and that sounds wonderful!

Baby's hiccups are extremely annoying today.

I used to get an acrylic overlay on my big toes... It made the polish last forever and looked really awesome. You would have never known if I didn't tell you. Not long either, ew.

It's a fight, and at the moment I have a trick that works. I count to six for my six back and forth strokes. One is back and forth along the top front, two is along the side to the molar, three is other molar, then 4 5 & 6 on the bottom. I'm sure next week I'll have to come up with some other scam.

Both of my kids have those battery-operated toothbrushes and I think the novelty of those is helpful. Our new technique is that they have to brush their teeth for the length of time it takes me to sing the ABCs twice. Then I just do a quick once-over with the toothbrush.
