I have no idea how to iron. I was trying to iron Anthony's shirt and slacks for the wedding we are in tomorrow. I couldn't get the creases right and now I'm super frustrated.
FFFC: I don't iron. Anything. I didn't even know we owned an iron until last summer when I made t-shirts for camping.
DH was in the military. If he wants something ironed, he does it his super anal retentive way. :-)

I bought DS a Rufflebutts button up white collared shirt for his 18 month pictures. Dear God what was I thinking? A shirt that small that I had to iron. So.much.work. Thankfully it looked presentable and the photog could edit the lines out. GL!
@beebopandbuddy do you want to send me a referral link because that looks awesome! I have decided to give up my childish obsession with platinum blond hair and go dark, so I need salon quality product!

Don't do it the first time on your own. You will most likely turn it into a complete nightmare. Bleached hair has to be filled first and THEN dyed the color you want. Go somewhere professional for the first time, then do it at home after the fact. If you put brown dye over your platinum hair, you will turn your hair orange. It will make you very, very sad.

Its not platinum at all anymore. The last time I had any bleach put in it was November. and it has grown significantly since then. I thought about that after I posted, if it wouldn't be better to do the first go round with a salon and then do it on my own.... Blah, I hate grooming these days because I simply DO NOT have time to do it.

Yeah, it'd probably be good to get the salon to bring you to the color you want, then you can maintain it on your own.
Guys, I'm gonna cry. My house is a fucking disaster. I only got to do minimal cleaning last weekend because I had the kids and DH was doing the yard. I didn't do any cleaning the weekend before because I wanted off for Mother's Day. We have not heard a peep about the house in weeks.
Of course, today, we get a call that someone wants to see the house tomorrow morning. We are going away for the weekend and I have to work late and now I have to go home and try to clean the house and make sure it's nice when we walk out the door at 5 a.m. tomorrow. DH was so not helpful last time and I know he won't be this time. Waaahhh (
I just ate an entire container of macaroni salad for my lunch. It's the only true craving I ever have. I'm justifying eating because my breakfast was really small.

My mom sent me a text, letting me know that my aunt passed away this morning. Confession? I'm not surprised that she thought a text was an appropriate way to share that news.
Haters of pedicures, this will really gross you out...the woman next to me is getting fake nails put on her toenails. I may throw up. Why would you want your toenails to appear longer?

I would put the smack down on him. Explain to him that it needs to get done, you can't/won't do it on your own and that he needs to help you tonight. GL!
I talk a tough game, but I am a total wimp sometimes. I went to the nail salon at lunch and decided to get my eyebrows done while I was there. I explicitly told the woman that I only wanted them cleaned up bc I don't like them thin and they took a long time to grow in to how I wanted them. The bitch completely changed the shape and thinned them way out. Thank God I have bangs! I was pissed but couldn't bring myself to cut her tip. :-O
In a recent attempt to clean up my bikini area pre-wax, I managed to gouge myself. So much for any hope at sexiness. And in case no one else is quite as clumsy as I am, I can attest that that entire region bleeds like a bitch.
@CheeseandRice, I feel like I should invent some sort of table that directly connects to the ironing board. If I could have a little table set up with smoked Gouda and a Riesling I could stand....no, lets drop the height of the board a little...I could sit and iron all day long. I realize I could just put my ironing board next to a table and get the same effect, but I think this way sounds/looks so much cooler.
@MarisaKathleen, it's so relaxing for me. It means I'm not doing anything else and that sounds wonderful!

I think I threw up in my mouth.
That moment when you think to yourself "Wouldn't it be cool if my feet looked like they belong to a Velociraptor?"
Me: 27 DH: 28

I used to get an acrylic overlay on my big toes... It made the polish last forever and looked really awesome. You would have never known if I didn't tell you. Not long either, ew.
We got a report back from AEA (our local education agency) about Tessa and they said that she has some "issues" but they aren't severe enough to qualify for special education. So now we aren't sure what to do.
2 Pediatricians have acknowledged her problems (we are in the process of having her evaluated for ADHD/SPD) but since we aren't ready to medicate at this point, we aren't sure what to do next. Developmentally, she's normal. It's the social aspect that concerns us and we are trying to be proactive about it rather than wait until she enters school and then falls behind or is getting into trouble.
Have you looked into essential oils? Let me know if you want me to send you some info. GL, I know this has to be a lot to figure out for you guys! It sounds like you're doing all the right things... I'm sure linzeek can offer some tips, too.
Charlotte just ate a baked sweet potato, probably 2 adult servings of squash, 2 pork chops, 2 Graham crackers, and is currently stuffing down a banana. Girl can eat.
I brush, then she gets to suck the water off the toothbrush and "do it herself"
It's a fight, and at the moment I have a trick that works. I count to six for my six back and forth strokes. One is back and forth along the top front, two is along the side to the molar, three is other molar, then 4 5 & 6 on the bottom. I'm sure next week I'll have to come up with some other scam.
Both of my kids have those battery-operated toothbrushes and I think the novelty of those is helpful. Our new technique is that they have to brush their teeth for the length of time it takes me to sing the ABCs twice. Then I just do a quick once-over with the toothbrush.

I'm considering skipping lunch with DH's co-workers today because I know I'll have to hug every one goodbye and I don't want to.
I cried after my last haircut because she cut long side bangs that I didn't ask for.

Ooooh I have an UO that's only 1 day late (though it's Saturday for some of you East Coasters now) so I'll tack it on here:
I did not think The Fault in Our Stars was well written. In fact, I thought it was a pretty bad book.
