(I know I shouldn't even need to preface this, but I'm on track to gain around 30-35 lbs, have been running, don't *think* I look *big* for almost 7 mo)
I walked into the courthouse today and one of the bailiffs said, You didn't have that baby yet??! .... I'm due in the middle of August. It wouldn't be great if I had the baby now.

My mom looked at me Wednesday and asked if I was sure I was only having one. I just stared at her and then said "gee thanks". She then corrected herself quickly saying, not because of how big I am, but because of swelling.
I told her that she said the same exact thing with DD, and I showed up for work on her due date that Tuesday. I also showed up on Wednesday, and I showed up again on Thursday.
Coworker just nodded and said 'true'.
We seriously just had these SAME EXACT CONVERSATIONS last June! It hasn't even been a full year yet, and they've forgot everything.

"Maybe sitting between these two girls will rub off and you'll have a girl."
Um, I've know I'm having a boy for 10 weeks now, it's not a secret, and this woman and I discussed it the week before this happened. I replied "There's not a whole lot I can do about that" and she kind of stumbled over herself with an "Oh I know, brothers will be so fun. Your mom just really wants a granddaugther."
LOL my poor mother will soon have 3 grandsons and no one to wear the boxes and boxes of smoked clothes she made for me and my sister as children and saved. My mom and I joke about this all the time but she was kind of horrified when I told her about the comment.
Not liking these nice comments probably makes me a bit of a cow but they make me feel guilty for not enjoying every moment of my pregnancy.
I also had a friend ask if I was allowed to eat a hot dog. I replied that I'm allowed to eat anything I want and then I ate two hot dogs. 1. This leads into the dumbest comment I get. "You're going to be so miserable this summer". You think so, really? That thought had never crossed my mind that 80 degree temps might be a little more insufferable.2. I want a hot dog now even though I just got done eating McD's chicken nuggets and fries.
If I had $5 for every time I heard that one...it would pay for the first month of day care.
People ask me all the time when I'm due, and when I tell them August 23rd they always say, "That's going to be a long hot summer". No shit, thanks.
Tuesday was particularly hot. My school has no air conditioning and little air flow for some reason. The closest bathroom to my classroom is upstairs and halfway across the building. I wore the wrong shoes that day and a dress that encouraged my thighs to rub together. I had 3 comments about my size by lunch time. I was walking to the bathroom for like the 10th time of the day and this girl, who wasn't small when she was pregnant and stopped working about 8 weeks before delivering, said, "My goodness, you're waddling already. You'll never make it to August!" She got an imaginary punch in the face.
On a side note, I did better than than that chick during class. (I made sure to lay my mat next to her;)). Score one for the "huge" 28 week pregnant girl.
I got one like that not long after we found out we were expecting. I'm 24 and H is 25, we've been together nearly 9 years now. When a mom from my hometown (whose daughter is also pregnant, AND a year younger than me) saw me the other day, she made a comment about "Are you sure you're ready for a baby already? You're so young and you just got married last year!"
Um, your daughter is younger than me, not to mention H has wanted a baby for years already. I know I look like I'm about 17, but dammit I'm 24 and married!
