Cervix check in - dilation and effacing - week of May 19th

Appointment yesterday...a "fingertip dilated" and soft. Ahhh but still more then I was with DD at this point.

36 weeks today, no dilation, 70% effaced and baby's at -2. Can't believe we're in the home stretch!

When I saw the doctor for the first cervical check at 35.5 weeks, the doctor measured me at 4 cm. She was sure that I'll never make it to my due date. Quite honestly, she freaked us out. Since then we were in massive prep mode and on pins and needles every day wondering if it would be the day.

At 36.5 weeks, she measured me at 5 cm.

At 37.5 weeks, still 5 cm. The doctor mentioned being worried about my ability to make it to the hospital on time and is having me call when contractions are 7 minutes apart since I'm so far along. She also mentioned that if things seem to progress quickly, not to mess around and call an ambulance. So that's fun.

I personally feel like I'll still be waiting in to early June after all that but we'll see. It is DH's birthday on Sunday so could it be that we end up with daddy and son with the same birthday? Wonder how often that happens.

36w check up- 70% effaced and .5cm dilated. Last week only 50% effaced. Dr says any day since I am progressing, but we will see.

I had 3 hours of contractions last night, at first five minutes apart and then two minutes apart. The nurse checked and I'm still at a 4 so they sent me home. False alarms suck so bad.

I am 38 wks 6 days and i am 1 cm dialated and 90% effaced and have been like that for 2 weeks. i had false alarm on monday and the nurse told me she thought by the end of this week n well here i am still pregnant.
