  Woke up at 4am with contractions about 3-5 min apart. Got to the hospital about 5:30-6am. Epidural around 8:45 am. Parker was born at 12:10 pm, 5lbs, 18 inches. Epidural was awesome. Barely felt a thing and was laughing and joking with the nurses. Parker came out screaming! They let me hold him, did delayed cord clamping, and he started pouting his mouth so attempted breast feeding and he did great! Nurses say he is doing awesome for being early. All he has right now is an iv and monitors. They said he could be in the NICU for 1-2 wks, but if he keeps impressing the nurses and docs, who knows. I only had one med student in the room and the deal was he had to take pictures. I look like crap but love the picture of Parker right after birth. So happy . (His nose was smushed some from birth but it's slowly straightening out,
  poor kiddo)
