Does anyone dye their own hair? I've always had my hair dyed/highlighted blonde but went dark (about two shaded darker than my natural brown) a few months ago. I'm considering just dying it myself now since its just an overall color and I'm not going lighter. I haven't found a salon here that I love and I have a hard time finding time to go because of DH's work schedule and the baby. So, if I could find a good at home color, and pay ~$10 every 6 weeks instead of $200, my life would be easier and I could spend that extra money on little smocked dresses ;) So if you do dye your own hair, please rec your brand/product.

I do! I use Nice N Easy foaming hair color. Much easier and cheaper!
Ditto. :) I love the foam.

Also what PP said about protecting the bathroom. And smear lotion on your face, neck and ears, anywhere you think you'll get color. That'll help stop it from staining.
If you get dye on your face, use a little nail polish remover! Works like a charm.

I always- ALWAYS use loreal feria. It is the best and doesn't smell as bad as some of the others.

I just ordered LO an amber necklace. I hope I didn't just buy into a fad, and it actually works. How the hell do you know what color to buy?

I kind of heard about amber necklaces. What are the benefits supposed to be?

    Also, DD needs more ruffl.
y butt stuff. She has one outfit that is absolutely adorable. And now I am thinking about her butt in ruffles and squeeing at work.
    Lighter is better for color...
It is supposed to help with teething..

My question... you take them off when LO naps right? Also how soon do you start using it?

Yes yes yes take them off a sleeping child.

  • So, they've built what has already been deemed the world's tallest water slide (by Guinness world records) at our schlitterbahn. It's supposed to open on Sunday, but they had to redesign part of it. What the news people aren't saying: the test dummies keep dying. It's 176'7" high. Completely open slide.

    No thanks. [-(

I really like Baby Gap's clothes, but $25 for a t-shirt that will fit him for 1-2 months of his life? Are you fucking kidding me?

    Preach it, sista!

@Junebugz1‌ it might be the only way!
@Beachbumm2214‌ I have been afraid to go in there all night. It jumped out of the sink as I went to wash my hands...it will never be the same...
    :-)
  • I picked up my birth control pills today and they gave me coupons for ovulation tests and pregnancy tests. Thanks I guess?

  • LO just scared the crap outta me :(

I woke up to the sound of him gasping for air. He sleeps in the RnP next to me on the couch. I rolled over and his arms were flailing in the air and it sounded like he couldn't breathe and like he was throwing up. I snatched him up so quick and sat him in my lap as he struggled to catch his breath. He went back to normal pretty quick though and I brought him to my chest and he kept dozing off . Now he's eating and acting fine. I don't think I can go back to sleep :(

I know we are supposed to drop this thread but just wanted to say we've been dealing with this the last week. It's so scary. I have an appointment with the pedi on Monday. I think it's silent reflux because after he chokes he sort of smacks his lips together like he is tasting something in his mouth.

I try to make myself less nervous by remembering that choking is silent. Noise = air

    :(
