@Soleil3 What is that you do for a living? So someone can make a funny joke at you too.
I'm a professional croissant connoisseur, dog and baby walker, and mocker of creepy men who talk about masturbation on a board for women on forums. It doesn't pay much, but what can I say, I love my work ;)

To go along with what @nnikki10 said, mine has to do with parenting and discipline. At the risk of the disapproval of parents (well moms here as it appears Im the only dad brave creepy enough to chat on A13) I firmly believe in disciplining my child which will include a spanking if needed. Now I swatted our LO once on the butt and got my ass handed to me by mom, not that she disagrees with spanking but that LO is to young. I understood and took a different approach.

blah blah blah corporal punishment blah blah police blah blah
    Fixed that for you.
    :-q Really?
Yes, really. Its TB, the bump is for the baby, not beer or donuts. Its creepy.
Does a dad not take care of the baby too??

ETA: and if the donuts reference is a cop reference you can fuck yourself!
    The Bump.
    #gavel.

And yes, it totally was. A funny cop reference at that :)

    unclench nikki.
Nope not really..kinda like making a joke that all black people like to eat watermelon and fried chicken. It's extremely disrespectful.  So once again go fuck yourself

  • @Soleil3 You're the reason Mr PB & @nnikki10 started that conversation about people not teaching children to respect police officers.

You obviously don't respect them yourself and will probably not teach your child(ren) to either.

    Lol. yes?
But again, I don't have a stick up my ass, so...

  • @V&G I am not wholly against spanking either. I don't by any means think it should be used as the only method of discipline (not saying you do either). I don't think spanking and abuse go hand in hand.

I don't think they do either.

Oh seriously. Was that even needed? Why did you even have to bring that
up? Using it as reference or not just pisses me off.

Yea it was to demonstrate the Un funniness of her "joke" and how disrespectful it is to me.

Crust or no crust? I know this wasn't directed at me, but I really don't find it offensive. I don't get how a donut joke is either. I guess I'm not easily offended by jokes. I also think that race jokes and career jokes are two completely different things.

Yes, cops and blacks as minority groups are totally comparable.

I think it's funny that with the topic of spanking brought up, our main point of drama is cops eating donuts.

@pwhoskins you say that you think spanking is ok and you believe in disciplining your child and if that includes spanking then OK.  But then you say you read the information your wife gave you and say you didn't know what could be wrong with spanking (but now you do, at least that's the assumption I make).  So, which is it?  You're contradicting yourself.
I don't want to sound like Im contradicting myself so let me clarify. I should have stated that I didn't know what was wrong with spanking a 9 month old. That being said, we had been using stern "No"s for a while. Our LO really loves glass and to see her reflection and thats great. It scares me that she may get away from us and touch the glass on the fireplace when it is heated. So after many "NO"s and redirecting (although I didn't know that what I was doing was actually redirecting) I did swat her. Like I said, my wife corrected me. So with that, I am sorry that I swatted my 9 month old. As she gets older, I will not have a problem with spanking my child. That being said, I would never go right into spanking as a form of discipline without working up to that level unless it may be for something that can hurt her badly i.e. running out in the street without looking. Of course in that situation, it would be only after we have told her and tried to teach her that you don't run out in the street without looking and without Mom or Dad.

So yes, a spanking is in my toolbox of discipline. I will use it, and use it when we see fit. I say "we" because I have now learned that I would discuss it with my wife before hand.

We obviously have different views on what is "fun". Being a dick doesn't top my list.

Disclaimer- I am not going after you because I like you, but I just wanted to clarify how he got here just in case anyone missed it.

He lurked through a lot of my comments because on Sunday evening I got called out be an ae who knew of me in real life and wanted to make sure that she wasn't right by calling me a "bully." I had mentioned some threads to him (mainly drive bys and the reaction) so he got the impression that we were all very snarky and rude. When he lurked and actually read out threads, he learned that we're the opposite and often times extremely supportive.

He posted to say hello since he had been lurking all day, and thought we were hilarious. He joined in because some of the ladies thought it would be fun to get a man's perspective. He made the mistake of lurking in the TMI thread (believe me, I warned him). He went over to the Dad's board as well and jumped in there which is where I think he will spend his time.

I promise my husband is not creepy, even though he might have come off that way to some of you. It was not his intention and his main concern in the first place was not invading our space.

I actually have not been on TB in weeks. So I did miss all of that.

  • So, my question. Why would a man even want to join this board?! Why would he want to read about all our TMI and women problems? Seems odd to me....MH doesn't want to read about other women's grossness and bitching.
Umm trust me, I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO DESIRE TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR TIM Tuesdays or any other TMI stuff.

I was actually on the Dads boards and originally posted here just to say HI to my wife's friends. At that I also mentioned that if you have a problem with me lurking or more to let me know. I was welcomed by some of the great ladies here. And even in this post, the OP invited me to join the discussion.

No desire but you've posted in 2 of the threads about sex....? Doesn't get much more TMI than that.

  • @pwhoskins‌ I have no issue with you being here. I commend the open communication you share with your wife, good job sir.
If others take issue with your presence here, I suggest waiving your dick around at them...that really seems to stir the pot.
  • Everyone is coming out of the woodwork today.. spanking really causes a stir apparently

Well you know....bat signal and all B-)
You know a post is worth reading when everyone contributes.
