Current job: Video producer for a whiteboard video company
Dream job: Where do I even start.. I have so many! I'm a graphic designer by trade, so I would love to get back into that, make-up artist/fashion stylist, own a small shop in a near-by vacation area, flip houses/real estate in general, run a hobby farm, crafting, upcycling old pieces of furniture, antique picking (think American Pickers).... the list goes on and on...
I actually stress myself out daily because I haven't been able to find a job I'm really happy with. I get bored really easily and I always want to try new things, so when I get bored with the job I'm doing, I want to quit and do something else. Probably not a good trait to have...
Current: Stay at Home Mom. Previously I worked in retail.
Dream job: Honestly, I have no idea however I kind of like the idea of owning my own store. My 'take a year off from school to figure things out' plan kind of got interrupted when I got pregnant.
I am a professional fundraiser for the College of Engineering at a major university. It's really about building relationships with people that someday lead to major gifts ($25,000-$15m +) Most people don't understand what my job is like, so to clarify ... I am not asking people for money every day and it is nothing like sales. I am not an extrovert or even much of a people person, but I am very good with people one-on-one. It does pay really well, which makes it hard to leave and the benefits are good. I accrue so much vacation and sick time that I can take all 3 months off paid, plus have vacation time to use after.
I have a masters degree in nonprofit management, so this pretty much was my dream job and I don't think I will switch to do anything else. Currently I do not want to be a stay at home mom--just not for me, but I hear that can change once the LO comes into your life.
@Buhzel Yay! Major gifts officers FTw! Except my job does NOT pay well, I work for a local human services nonprofit. I used to work in higher education as a registrar (before I got my degree in nonprofit leadership and management) and I've thought about going back! I miss working for a college.
There are six people in major gifts at my organization, and my main area of responsibility is our monthly giving club. I do some asks/major gifts, but most of my time is spent building relationships with my monthly donors! So I know just what you mean.

Dream: I'd love to be a SAHM until my kids are in school. Then I'd like get back into real estate. It's fun, every day is different, and I am constantly learning new things. The commute and hours are hard, and I know I'm not going to enjoy it with a baby.
Currently: A substitute teacher...for the next two weeks at least. Then I'll be a SAHW.
Dream: I'd love to find a full-time job teaching social studies, especially in a middle school. I have my Masters, unfortunately there just aren't social studies jobs around here. :-( So I'm trying to let go of that dream and find a new one. I'd love to do something with books, like editing or selling.
Dream: Love my chosen career path, but simultaneously yearn to be an earth mama energy healer/herbalist
@Weinbergboo Do you work in private practice or for the ALCU or somewhere like that? I think it's a really interesting field, so I'm just curious. What sort of cases to you handle and what sort of clients do you have?
Current: Registered Nurse-I worked for years in the ER but switched to recovery room when we started a family. I just started part time in a pediatric orthopaedic recovery room. I do love it, but miss being with my boys whenever I'm at work.
Currently: A meeting planner for a large company. Been there about 2.5 years and they've been great to me.
Dream job: Own a dog daycare business? I don't know, something with dogs but nothing too sad. I'd also love to be a wedding planner to easy going brides (like I was). Soooo looks like I'm staying where I'm at.

Current: registered nurse in a long term acute care hospital- people too sick to go home or to rehab, but not sick enough to be inpatient in the acute setting.. so I see it all.. huge wounds, ventilators, life sustaining medications, bariatrics and sometimes all in the same patient! I couldn't agree more about good med/surg experience! I currently work PP/nsy, but first did 9 years on an ortho/neuro unit. We also got general surgeries and medical pts. My body is torn up from it, but I wouldn't trade that experience for anything!
