It only got interesting when I started talking about milkshakes. Haha (:
My bad... I didn't know posts expire.... I guess maybe this "newb" should find a new board since my opinion isn't wanted here.
No....
... but when you're the new fish in a group that's been established for 6 months, it may be helpful to lurk, read the entire thread before posting, etc.... That's just common forum courtesy. Did you read the "New to A14" thread that's pinned to the top? Just curious.
Share all the opinions you want, but don't expect to never ever ever get flamed. Get a thicker skin or ya' know....
We didn't with our son and will not if this baby turns out to be a boy.
For those who are considering it for cleanliness: do your research! The foreskin actually protects the glans from all the nastiness in the diaper and does not retract until puberty. Nobody but the boy should pull it back for the first time!!
As far as looking like others, it shouldn't matter. I'm pretty sure that kids will find anything to pick on each other for. My brother-in-law was not circumcised because he was a preemie and it was never an issue between either his dad or his three circumcised brothers.
I also don't believe it should come down to a sole decision of the father. Just because he has a penis does not make him a penis expert; just like because we have vaginas it doesn't make us a vagina expert.
I'm not a fan of banana splits; don't like bananas (but love banana bread, go figure)

DQ used to have a Mississippi Mud Pie blizzard and it was my fav, but they got rid of it. I can't go back to DQ because I just miss that blizzard so much
Honestly, until this pregnancy (and all of you -wenches- [I'm not going to get the banhammer like that rebel up there @Rannndi]), I hadn't had a blizzard at DQ in probably close to a year.
And now? Now they're about all I think about when I want something sweet.
I should see if someone'll get me that Choco-Cherry Love cake for my birthday (which isn't until August, dammit)! Because YUM!!!
Push present? Y/Y?

Actually, I've been in this group since I first found out I was pregnant... But why on earth does it matter? I thought this was a "support" group to be kind to one another and share helpful knowledge/ opinions. Something was posted (on page 2, btw) that I have a strong opinion on, so I voiced it. Politely. My skin in plenty thick, as I'm not what you would call "mainstream", I'm just baffled at how hateful a lot of you are... If you want to put a meaningful thought out there, go for it, but otherwise, why post a response?

No you haven't.
Your post count is borderline nonexistent. AND if you had been taking REAL part in any form (even lurking regularly and REALLY reading) you would know exactly what is and isn't taken well around here, and general board etiquette... you don't.
Having a screen name doesn't make you a part of the group.

HONESTLY?
Because we're freaking annoyed that we've worked to establish a support group and relationships here, and people think that it's okay to just jump in...we don't know you.
Do you walk up to a stranger on the street and do this?
NEWSFLASH:
These babies will be here in 3 months or less---where have you all been the last 6-7 months?!

Omg, are you me? I've hated bananas since birth, but I love banana bread.
And of course now I want some. And chocolate. And fried chicken. FML
I am TOTALLY you!! Those moments where you forget shit. That's me taking over.

I was thinking to get him circumcised in the first week until I saw this video https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xjkd30_infant-circumcision-injection-and-procedure_news The cry is just heartbreaking, I wouldn't want that for my baby. So after discussing with DH, we decided to postpone until he's around 8 years old (DH got his at 8 y.o and he said it wasn't painful at all). I think it is better when he has more resistance to pain, and is able to talk and say what he feels, and is able to listen and 'keep it clean' after the surgery. Plus, dunno how much bad effect of painkiller on infants, at 8 y.o he'll be able to handle it better.

Whaaaaaaaat!?
So you'd rather wait until he completely understands what's happening and can remember it? Great idea!
I don't care what people do with their kids penises to be completely honest. But, this idea seems insane.
This. Seriously...... How is that any better? For. The. Love.
If I'm having a boy I won't be circumcising him. I really have no preference so I am not against it or anything. However, my SO isn't circumcised and has never had any issues with not being. I've read a lot of posts about it being painful and hard to keep clean, but he has never had any of those experiences. So basically it just comes down to the fact that he's not so it would just seem weird to do it to our baby.
Re: Curcumcision do or don't?!
Mmmm...now I want a f'real.
