So I just had my shower. 3 people got me a diaper bag and removed the tags and packaging. I have no idea what to do since they're all unreturnable. Suggestions?
Who removes the tags?? I can see not including a gift receipt...but ripping off the tags? That just seems completely unnecessary.....
Today is my first work day off (still working Tuesday and Thursday this week, then I'm done done). So far I stayed in bed bumping until 10:30, got up and ate ice cream for breakfast and am currently watching a Sex and the City marathon. Thinking about going to a movie in an hour. And I only feel slightly guilty.

I'm working on my 'birth preferences' today! This is a big leap for me since I've been living in denial island about these kids coming out. So far all I have is my name and "get them out safely". That's good enough right?
I'd recommend checking out some samples/templates online and seeing if anything pops out at you as important. Particularly if you end up going the C-section route, there was a ton of stuff I didn't know was possible/optional or just didn't think about before reading some of those (like who goes with baby, do you care if both of your arms are strapped down, etc.)
Another word of caution on the aloe topic...if you plan on using store bought aloe, make sure you test it out first. My sister ended up having a horrible allergic reaction to the blue aloe they sell in stores.
So I had my baby boy today!!! I'm still a little shocked but so amazed that I pushed this little guy out and he is mine!! It's an amazing feeling and I have been crying way to much! He was well worth everything I went through!!! And I may kick myself later but....his little cry is just sweet!
thanks @ugabamafans and @StrawberryDreams219 so far we have been snuggling all morning but I'm having trouble getting his fever to break. he is really uncomfortable and Tylenol isn't touching it. any advice other than lukewarm bath which we are getting ready to do? if it hasn't broken after lunch we will probably head to the pedi.
@stephross88 when my kids had high fevers, the pedi told me we could use tylenol and ibuprofen (if he's old enough) together since they are different meds. One every 4-6 hours and the other every 6-8. It does/did help battle it down despite being a little hectic using both simultaneously. Hope he's feeling better soon. Hugs to you both!
I just dropped a Dorito that rolled all the way back under my desk. Anyone want to take bets that it will still be there when I return from maternity leave?
Gross, but truth.
I dropped a cracker a month ago that did the same thing. It's still there. I am fully confident that it will still be there after my leave too. I doubt it will decompose because it's from a Lunchable
@StrawberryDreams219 I agree I am like you I don't usually load him up with anti fever meds because he is running a fever for a reason but I just want to make him more comfortable, his skin is so hot I could probably fry an egg on it. we are drinking lots of water with pedialyte Popsicles
@otter1103 I just sent DH for some Motrin since it does seem to work a little better than Tylenol for us. thanks for the reminder!
I stayed home from work today because I feel sick from my uti, turns out this has been an awesome day! Went to dunkin donuts and they had free coffee, took an awesome nap, we had two deliveries today, one was our wall decals so we can finish the baby room and the other was our ergo 360 (which I thought was back ordered for July)! Yay today is the best!
@lest12 Yeah, I really don't think she wants to watch him after repeatedly being told she was basically not good enough to keep him. I just know she is doing it because it's her grandson and she's afraid to say no.
Crazy town over here.
Your SIL is kind of putting her in a crappy situation, too. Ugh.
Families are so much fun, aren't they? 8-|
Anyway, good luck! I hope DF gets your back and you get it resolved soon!
@Brighteyes112 do a DD and change the title to "." so none of the AWs can access it )
I'll full on delete that bitch if people agree.
Or I could unpin and sink it. Whatever.
I just need a few people to share their thoughts on it. The last 100 people on that thread don't get an opinion though, since they are random.
I say delete it. We are all about to have our babies, we can share their name and sex on the birth announcement.
Has anyone had this Brownie Brittle? I'm dying! It is so freaking good! It's like the crunchy crispy edges of the brownie pan.
Also, I have them totally hidden in my pantry from hubs because he'd flip a gasket if I ate anything that wasn't protein or vegetable right now. Can't help it... Baby wants it....
June '14 September Siggy challenge- Favorite things about fall
LOL on the DD! @BrightEyes112 Just unpin it. I think we are set.
Ok but don't any of you salty hoes bump that thing. X(
****** What if I want to go back and pick team green because I'm not big on pink. Silly me, I thought the teams were for gender and not color preferences... My bad
@ugabamafans thanks for asking! it was a rough day. it would break for an hour or two then spike right back up to the 102s and 103s. he also refused pretty much all food and drinks except for a few bites of watermelon. so I'm thinking we will be hitting up the doctor first thing in the morning.
on another note I have the sadz because the pineapple thread is the only thread I want to read right now and it won't open for me! bummer.
Re: Wednesday 05/14 SS/AW/Random Thoughts Thread
Re-gifted possibly?

I was going to ask what your DF thought because normally in this situation, I'd make my H do the dirty work for me.
Or maybe you could sit MIL down together and just nicely explain?
Although she doesn't sound like the problem so much as SIL.
Your SIL is kind of putting her in a crappy situation, too. Ugh.

"Ok! So you're due in like 3 weeks. Do you wanna drive to California with me in like 1 and 1:2 weeks?"
That would put me at 39 weeks on a 1,000 mile road trip.
