Nothing major. We are going to Rehoboth Beach, DE next weekend for a family reunion thing with DH's family. Other than that, nothing is planned.
We are discussing doing a babymoon - probably a long weekend on the Outer Banks or Topsail Island (both in NC) but we'll see. We are also saving for a house so we may skip it. Although I really want to do something!
We're going to Florida (West Palm Beach area) to visit my sister. Mostly we'll just hang out on the beach. We're renting a boat one day to cruise around the intracoastal.
And it will be DS's first vacation! (Well, we took him to Tennessee last year for my sister's wedding, but DS was too small to do anything really.) I'm really excited to take him to the beach, he loves water.
I'm going to see my bestie in Phoenix! This will be the last time we see each other before Garbanzo is born. I hate temperatures above 70, she's the only person I'd brave the heat for (except DH of course)!
It would be nice to make a quick trip to Disneyland with DH before the baby arrives, but we are already planning Disneyland and Disney cruise for next year when the baby turns 1.
Currently got a camping trip to Yosemite planned for July, but will have to see if I wanna risk it as I'll be 23 wks along, just short of the 24 wks for viability.
Vacay with my family in August. We're going to Navarre Beach, FL. We go every couple years and rent a house all together and spend the week at the beach. This year, I'm thrilled that our house has a pool and is right on the beach.
Between everybody going, there is usually something going on every day, but DH and I plan on taking it easier than usual. Skipping out on the deep sea fishing and some of the other extra outings so that we can have time to relax one last time before baby gets here!
We've been talking about a beach trip but I kind of just want DH to save his vacay time. It would be nice if he could take a week after the baby is born and then his usual week between Christmas and New Year's. He's already burned a week taking a day off here and there for random happenings.

We are headed to Puerto Rico for a little babymoon tomorrow and then in July we are headed to Washington for a friend wedding. I am excited to get a few more little travels in with DH before baby comes.
We're trying to save money, so we don't have a ton planned. So far just two camping trips in state and one long weekend in Maine for a wedding. We're going to consider that our "babymoon" even though all of my in-laws will be there as well.
We had already planned a family cruise before BFP. Leaving in August with DH, SS, my parents and sisters. 8 day Eastern Caribbean. Guess I'm not going horseback riding now though
My sister is getting married at the end of July. The following weekend is my aunt and uncle's 50th (45th?) wedding anniversary and their kids are putting on a big party. In August, we always get together for a family reunion/pig roast/pot luck and then a friend of ours is getting married at the end of the month.
On top of that, I'd love to get in some camping and hiking, a few trips to the beach, etc. We'll see. Hopefully that second tri energy boost everyone keeps talking about kicks in by then!
I'm going to Florida with my aunt and uncle and DH will be joining us over the weekend but then we're leaving on Sunday. He's already going to be off a couple weeks when the baby comes and he doesn't really have any other vacation time to use. But we will enjoy what we get!
@MollMoll4 I spoke to my OB about it and she said the nearest hospital around where I'm going camping is around 1.5hrs. So if I get into an accident, it would take longer for me to get to the ER. But the main concern is that before 24wks, the chances of the baby surviving if they must take it out is very low, so they usually won't even try to rescue it before 24wks. I looked this up and apparently the chances of the baby surviving outside the womb increases 3-4% each day between 23 and 24wks. A huge difference in just that one week.
DH and I are going on a 3 Day Bahama Cruise (my mother is staying with DD) This is for our anniversary. I had swimming with the dolphins on my bucket list but alas, no one will accept a pregnant woman on their excursion! *go figure* >:P So we will go on a catamaran for snorkeling instead...hopefully hit up the spa, the art gallery and the casino on the cruise and also the nightclub!
I hope to do a spa getaway either in San Diego, Scottsdale or Napa in late August / Labor Day weekend.

I don't really get what the viability of the baby has to due with it? I mean, anything could happen any time before 24 weeks, camping or not.

@cindyNmark2010 - Have you checked the cruise lines policies on pregnancy? Most won't let you sail if you have entered the 24th week by the time the cruise ends.

@MollMoll4 and @missnacholover : Yeah, I guess my OB just wanted to make sure I'm informed. She didn't discourage me from going and as she put it "your house could burn down tomorrow too." She did warned me about the spread of the hantavirus in the area too, but ultimately said it is my choice. My DH isn't too concern, but both sets of parents are kind of freaking out about it, haha.
Heading to North Carolina this Sunday!!!! I can't wait to be on Ocracoke and enjoy the sun and ocean DH have been talking about going to my bosses beach house (in TX) again this summer but we usually go in October and that will be pretty close to baby so we will see.
Other than that I have already warned a few friends that I will be crashing their pools this summer.

@runningmama14 I'm from one town over from Navarre, Gulf Breeze. I'm going there this weekend to visit my parents and can't wait! Very ready for beach and pool time. Other than that we have no plans for vacation, DH is looking for a job so we can move back to Florida so hopefully we'll be doing that this summer.
I am excited for summertime - between 2 weddings, 2 bachelorette parties, 2 bridal showers, and 3 baby showers, I will be very busy. I'm a teacher and am also taking a ton of classes this summer to get more graduate credits since I don't think I'll be up for taking classes for quite a while after the baby comes.
I'm still hoping to find time to also plan a mini-babymoon with my husband, but we'll see, it could be wishful thinking!

I loooooooooove Ocracoke.
Yeah! We are trying to plan a babymoon type thing to Ocracoke or nearby for July. Also have a wedding to attend in upstate N.Y. in August.

If we go to the Outer Banks for our babymoon we'll probably end up in Nags Head or KDH. But that's OK because then I can go to Owen's for dinner, YUM! However, we're leaning more towards Topsail Island - we lived in Nags Head for 3 years so I'd like to try a different spot.

Uh, rut roh...better go look.
Never even thought of it but you're right as rain @runningmama14 . Says 24 completed weeks or less by disembarkation date and have to provide a doc note stating gestational stage before embarking. What a kick in the ass that week 24 ends the day of embarking. (
We will probably do a weekend or two at my parent's place on a lake in the Adirondacks (See Avatar image for lake). Hopefully, I will be up for some light hiking and definitely some swimming!
I also have 2 friends getting married in July, so I will need to find a cute pregnant lady dress for those! Luckily, they are from are two different friendship groups (one from high school and one from post college), so I can wear the same dress for both.
Any suggestions on where to shop for a cute, wedding fancy, maternity dress that doesn't break the bank. The dresses on Pea in the Pod were all $185+ and I've only ever spent that much on a bridesmaid dress, not a cocktail dress!

Nothing too major. We had to replace our furnace unexpectedly, so that kind of took away our vacation fund for this year. We decided to do a few "minications" instead this summer and just take a night here or there near by.
Besides that, DH and I decided that we're kind of a disaster in the vacation department. On our one and only big trip away, we decided to go to DC and got stuck in Hurricane Sandy aka Frankenstorm. Then, a couple of weeks ago, we decided to take the amtrak into Chicago and I got violently ill and ended up in the ER for six hours getting re-hydrated on IV's and trying to get to the point where I could keep down a little water. We're hoping our next actual vacation goes a little better .
@ktibbits - I love the Gulf Breeze Zoo! It's just the right size for an afternoon trip. We used to love the flea market that is right there too, but it seems to have declined in the recent years. We still go because we've always gone, but it's just not the same.

@cindyNmark2010 Oh I'm so sorry Hate to ruin your fun for you. I was only aware because we had a tentative 3 day cruise with some friends in the works when we found out. Our travel partners were the ones that told me.
@DoubleUp8 Do you have a Burlington Coat Factory near you? (Not sure if they're only in New England)... I just bought a couple of cute maternity cocktail dresses there. Really good prices!

When I was pregnant with DD, I randomly found a dress for a wedding at Target.

We will likely go to my Aunt's house on Sebago Lake for a long weekend in August but that's it. Maybe a babymoon in the fall.

@xiaopeapod I think proximity to a hospital is an understandable concern, but I am confused about the viability aspect of it.
