I'm waiting at the dr office for yet another follow up to my eye surgery. I was their first appointment at 830. Still waiting. This is ridiculous. I told work I'd be in by 10.
We have a travel trailer that we rarely use. I don't want to tell DH to sell it, but he's finally coming around to that conclusion on his own. I'm beyond happy that we won't have to worry about it soon (hopefully).
DH is on a business trip, but the kids and I kept busy and had a lot of fun this weekend. Saturday morning we went to a kids' signing and sign language class, then went to a birthday party for a friend's DD who just turned 2. The kids had a blast.
Sunday morning was the first parent-and-me soccer class with DS. It was a total free-for-all, haha, so DD was running around too. I think she had more fun than DS. Then in the afternoon, a friend and I went for a long run (7 miles, woot!), while her husband corralled the four kids.
I thought this morning was going to be crazy, after DS woke up at 5 a.m. with a bloody nose (backstory: he has had some bad nosebleeds lately, like his room looks like a crime scene amount of blood. I am very bad with blood). But I got him cleaned up and calmed down relatively quickly, and both kids were in good spirits. DD, for the first time in at least 3 weeks, didn't even cry when I dropped her at school! Score. Now, I'm just trying to work down my to-do list at the office (in between bumping of course ;-) )
DH did a whole lotta nothin with us yesterday. He cut the grass, watched Amazon Prime, went golfing, watched more Amazon Prime, and then watched Game of Thrones. I told him next weekend I get a day to check out. He said okay. (This isn't a bitch at all, btw, I'm excited for next weekend)
DH is working on the fields as usual- trying to get his crops in before the rain- so me and my sister are taking our kiddos to a museum for local Spring on the Farm. I'm excited- there will be tons of good food, tractor rides for the kids, bouncers, and lots of other fun stuff!
Summer hours start today, so I am out at 4 everyday until the students return. Yay!
We leave for vacation Saturday, and I was feeling really unprepared, so I decided to take this Friday off also. I totally plan to pack Thursday night, and spend Friday getting manicured and spray tanned and hopefully highlights if my salon can squeeze me in. #maternitybarbie
Lightning crotch is a bitch, my cervix is like throbbing right now.
We got 2.0's crib set up yesterday...a crib that he will likely not sleep in until it's moved to our new house anyway, but when I need to nest, I need to nest.
It was actually above 50 degrees here when I woke up. The sun was shining and it felt so great to actually walk outside. Even if it was just to get to my office. Hoping to play outside when I get home and grill out. I'm trying to decide when to take my vacations this year too. I technically have no idea how many I get. 3 as of last year but I know it goes up June 1st.
I have to call a tree company too to get a tree removed/stump ground down in the backyard and our huge tree in the front of the house trimmed. Oh the fun stuff of being an adult.
They filled our open Dean position internally, and I have no confidence that absolutely anything will change. Sigh. The woman filling the position is really nice, so at least there's that. Maybe she'll actually do her own paperwork and get back to me in a normal amount of time, but I'm not holding my breath.
We put Nancy in a real bed this weekend. Every time she sees it she says "Daddy fix YAY!" and throws her hands up in the air to cheer. It's hilarious.
I keep having BH contractions at night. I didn't have this with Nola because I was on bedrest and not as active. They got pretty painful last night. I really need to have a hospital bag packed, but then if I do I'm sure I'll go over! Ha!
We close on our house 2 weeks from today!!!!! We're hoping to work it out with the seller to move in the weekend before, we'll see if that works out!
I was so hung over yesterday I couldn't eat. Today, I want to eat everything.
I'm down 5 lbs and 1 full inch. I doubt today is going to help with my progress.
A friend and I went to a high end neighborhood garage sale. One of the sales had every free gift you could get from a casino. Slicers, pans, candles, tools, etc. All the items were at least $10. I felt like we were walking into an infomercial.
I am wearing a bright white shirt today, and have been walking around on egg shells, terrified of spilling coffee on myself.
I made it through my morning coffee, and snagged a jolly rancher from one of the girls downstairs. I then proceeded to drool pink jolly rancher juice all down the front of my shirt while talking to one of my coworkers. Win.

I'd make sure to get quotes from at least two places, tree companies vary in price quite a bit. Some charge by the job whereas some charge by the hour. Make sure they are insured. Also, clarify that they are going to clean up the stump too, a lot of places to not specify and you'll be stuck with a huge mound of wood chips. Too bad you don't live close, I'd send DH right on over
I have shorter hair and even though I can't put the whole thing in a pony tail I can the top half. I LOVE the shorter style @kdsmith43
Also I'll be calling 2 companies! I immediately thought of you when we decided to take it out. We would ourselves except there are power lines close. No thanks!
@kdsmith43 I chopped all my hair off in October and then went even shorter a few weeks ago. It's easier to deal with but I do miss my long hair now and then! It's fun to cut it all off, though!
@kdsmith43, I'm in love with that short cut...which I wouldn't even consider short, necessarily. You're hair is amazing and I think you'd totally rock that hair do!
If you people haven't ever had these damn trader joe's gummy penguins, consider this your warning to never, ever, ever buy them. They're incredible. I have eaten the whole bag in less than a half hour.
But seriously. They're my new favorite TJ's product. I wish I had bought 8 of them.

Do you have the package with you? Do me a favor and see if they have any artificial dyes.
Here's all the ingredients, just to be safe:
glucose syrup (wheat) sugar, water, animal gelatin apple concentrate, modified corn starch, citric acid, pectin, natural flavors (strawberry, lime, cherry), vegetable oil, glazing agent (carnauba wax palm) fruit and vegetable color (red fruit concentrate) seaweed, safflower floret and wheat startch.
it says no artificial flavors or preservatives on the front too.

These things are crack. CRACK!!!!! So delightful. Delightful crack!
@cheenomae, we went shopping on Friday right after work and I didn't even show DH I bought them. At the check out I put them right in my purse and promptly transferred them to my desk this morning. All I crave this pregnancy is cocktail peanuts and gummies. Go figure.
@LoisLayn23, she'll love these. They're in a weird spot in the store though, at least at mine. They were above the ice cream & frozen fruit right before you get to the frozen breakfast things. this is assuming that all the TJs are laid out the same, and not just all the same in Wisconsin. the 2 here are laid out the exact same.
I'm already plotting ways to get my body back (finally) after this kid is out. But then I remember how much I wanted to eat all the fancy cakes the store carried last time so I'm doubtful I'll be able to control myself.
Replace fancy cakes with cookies, and this could be my life. I want to be back to my pre-kid size. But I really like snacks, a lot.

I can't decide if I want to leave my hair long or chop it off. Y'all pick.

@BME, hugs, mama.
@BPer, I'm laughing so hard at your coffee/jolly rancher story. I didn't see it going there!
@Indigovader, Happy Birthday, Indy!!

I'm finally breaking down and buying some new shoes for the gym. It's been 3 years. It's about damn time but I'm torn on the color:
I love those. The last time I got darker tennis shoes, DH told me he thought the darkness of them made my legs look skinnier, bonus!
Or these since it didn't want to post in the thread

That is a bonus! I'm really hating TB right now! It won't let me post the other color so here's the damn URL:
