Sappy one: I can't wait for him to reach up and want to hold my hand when we are walking.
Selfish one: I am really looking forward to when he can put things together. Right now all he wants to do is unstack his cups and rings and pull apart puzzles. I spend way more time than i care to think about restacking those damn cups.
I can't wait until he can give kisses/real hugs. I also really look forward to anything learning related--when he can read a book to me, identify numbers/colors, etc. Finally, we take him out to a lot of different places (aquarium, museums, etc), and as of right now he just loves looking around at everything and everyone. I really look forward to when he will start interacting more. Now that he's walking, I think that will hopefully be soon!
Oh, and I have couple more that I almost forgot, which are kind of selfish on my part--I look forward to when sleeping in is cool and when he learns food is for his mouth and other things (cell phones, paper towels, etc.) are not.
I can't wait for her to stop putting everything in her mouth. I am looking forward to when she can talk and when she can play at the park and get excited about things.
I'm looking forward to when he gets sick and he can tell me what hurts! Arts and crafts, saying I love you, him just beginning a little more independent.
Saying I love you, him being able to run and play with us, him being able to tell me what's wrong and if he's hungry, snuggles on the couch watching movies
Kisses & hearing I love you. She gives great hugs and kisses are more random now. And for her to get mobile, she's still not crawling or walking and its frustrating for her to not get herself where she wants to be
Long term - I can't wait to travel to new, fun places with her and see her excitement. I have this dream of letting my kids pick anywhere within a 5 hr flight to go for their 13th bday, and let them pick anywhere in the world for high school graduation.
Obviously I also dream as if money no object so we'll see if those things happen.
Short term - I can't wait until she can start talking an communicating. I want to hear about what's going on in her little brain that is learning so much.
No more pumping (so close!), walking really well so I don't have to carry him/push him everywhere, playing little league sports like soccer and baseball, playing in the rain/puddles
I can't wait for him to say "hi mommy" or run and give my DH a hug when he walks in the door. Of course "i love you" will be a big heart melting moment. I look forward to being his little sideline cheerleader and that crazy mom in the stands screaming and cheering at every. single. thing he does. Yup totally gonna be that mom. I look forward to no more bottles/diapers. I can't wait for him to take his first steps, however, I heard I can totally wait. LOL! I CAN"T wait for teething to be over. He's not much fun when he's teething.
Until then, I will snuggle him, kiss him and hug him as much as possible.
I can't wait for hugs and kisses and I can't wait for him to have a sense of humor and be funny. One of the very best things Aiden has ever done is something I never would have even thought of. He drew a heart on the chalkboard all by himself and yelled "Mama come here! I drawed a heart for you!!" I was excited like I had just gotten a life saving kidney.
I can't wait for him to say I love you and actually give hugs and kisses without being prompted. I also cannot wait for him to snuggle on the couch with me for family movie night. Right now he is not a snuggler at all so I really hope someday he is.
